I gave all of it away to a kindergarten teacher a few years ago. I knew she would get more use from it then I ever would.

I have an expressions and a gypsy still. Haven't used it in a long while, maybe 8 months or more.

I have the original baby bug 6"x12" with cartridges.
I still use it occasionally, but not as much as I did before my Gypsy died. I really liked linking letters together on the Gypsy and not having to use a computer.

I also have the OG 6x12 Cricut and haven't used it in probably 3 years.
ETA: I should bust it out and cut some stuff to see if it still works. If not, I should just get rid of the cartridges and recycle the machine.

I have one and a lot of cartridges - thinking it is time to dust it off and start using it. Would like to conquer the vinyl with it.

The rubber in my cartridges started to break down and now the rubber is all sticky. I'm disappointed because I have a ton of cartridges and would like to use them.

I keep the old Cricut and carts in case I want to use my Cricut designs during a time the internet is down. The rubber is sticky on some of the carts, but not all. I haven’t tried this, but here is a video on how to desticky your cartridges. De-sticky Cricut Cartridges

I suppose I should check mine, I haven't opened the case I store them in for a long time. The rubber is sticky on some of the carts, but not all. I’m wondering if there is a way to de-sticky them safely. Good question! If I have time today I'll search the internets to see what I can find.

I edited my post to include the link (probably right when you were posting yours).

Thanks scrapnnana! I just checked my cartridges and all of them are sticky so I will definitely be trying this.

I had it and gave it to a fellow pea when I got the Expression. I finally gave it all up (machine and cartridges) when I got the Scan n Cut. I sold everything except for one cartridge. It's the Sentimentals cartridge. I'll give it to anyone who will pay for shipping.

I did that with mine a few years ago, and they are fine now. I didn't bother with the toothpick to get all the cornstarch out of the creases, though. It doesn't bother me.

Looks like I'm putting corn starch on my grocery list...
The plastic on my small cricut turned yellow, too.

Most baby powder is corn starch, so no need to buy more if you already have baby powder (I use it to unsticky the adhesive on stickers sometimes, especially when I pop them up - it’s the same concept).

The plastic on my small cricut turned yellow, too. I watch videos of people restoring old computers and a lot of them use this stuff called Retro Brite which is basically hydrogen peroxide. The safest way would be to take apart your Cricut and only use the stuff on the yellowing parts but I realize not everyone feels comfortable taking electronics apart. You may be able to just spray it on the yellowing parts and let is sit in the sun.

The rubber in my cartridges started to break down and now the rubber is all sticky. I'm disappointed because I have a ton of cartridges and would like to use them. Mine did the same thing! I still have my Expression because it was easier to use in my basement where I don’t have great internet for other machines. I still have a Cricut Cake(NIB) that can only use cartridges, too. I think it is time to purge LOL. I should list it on Marketplace with a collection of cartridges because my kids are grown and the plans I had for it are no longer realistic. And by the time grandkids come along (if ever), I’m sure the cartridges will be disintegrated! I have a lot of blades and mats for the cake machine, so I might get some takers on FB. I need to get busy linking all my cartridges to my Cricut account so I can still use the images. I won’t won’t link the cake cartridges, though.

I have an old one that uses cartridges, but I haven't used it in forever. Because I so seldom got it out, every time I used it was like the first time - learning curve and all. OTOH, I use my Gemini every single time I craft, so it seems super simple to me. One of my crafty friends has a Gemini, but she still uses the Big Shot because it's simpler for her (for me, going back to the Big Shot would be another learning-curve situation LOL). I bet all of my cartridges are sticky. Yikes.
