So my adult son is on a quest to try new and different veggies...he may grow some in the future if he likes them. One thing he really wants to try is blue corn. Apparently, it is sweeter than yellow or white corn. But there are none in the stores and farmer's stands around here, and oddly, we can't find any online. I told him that if anyone would know, the peas would know. Are there any places that sell blue corn where you live? Maybe I could call them and have them ship it to us (as long as it isn't too far away.) Or maybe they have an online website that I haven't found before. Thanks for anything you can share. #firstworldproblems

Blue Corn is a flint corn, and it is used mostly for making tortillas. I have heard it is sweeter. But it is not a sweet corn that you would eat off the cob. It is something you would grind into masa.
I am a commercial dent corn farmer, so I might not have all my facts on blue corn straight! lol I do grow some sweet corn, for our personal use - but we pretty much gave that up.

According to Wikipedia, sweet corn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_corn) is a particular variety of corn with a high sugar content, and all of the other other varieties (including flint corn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flint_corn) which includes the multicolored types) are much less sweet. In blue corn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_corn), a type developed by the Hopi and very popular here in New Mexico (e.g. enchiladas with blue corn tortillas or blue corn chips), all of the kernels are dark blue.
