Starting the 40 different types of cookies I need to bake for DD’s wedding reception Labor Day weekend. Meeting with the event planner at the hotel to organize the morning after brunch for guests who traveled. Finishing the binding on the quilt her fiancé’s mother and I made for a wedding present. Cleaning all bedrooms and painting one for relatives staying at our house. Calling to get carpets cleaned. When this wedding is over I am going to collapse and do nothing for at least a month. Are you doing a cookie table? That isn’t a thing here but I wish it was. I think it would be so awesome to have one! ❤️

If we didn’t have one no one from his side of the family would attend! (Just kidding, sort of).

This week, cleaning. It’s 31c in my apartment right now and I just can’t get the motivation to clean.

Cleaning my office. It's a tip! I have taken the "before" photos multiple times over the last year, but sadly have not gotten it to the "after" stage.

I have to sew a saree bouse for a wedding next week. I do not want to do this.
I have had 2 months to do it, it won't take that much time.
I just don't want to, and am contemplating a) finding a way to skip the wedding b) wearing western clothes

Touching up the paint in the master bath. There are a couple of places where I've scratched it and I've been meaning to do the touch up for months. One of them behind the towel bar I notice almost every day. And yet, I keep thinking, I'll do that tomorrow...

Unpacking. We moved nearly a month ago. I still have my clothes to organize and some more of the kitchen (waiting for a kitchen cart to get put together).
We are functional but still disorganized. It's making me crazy.

I didn't grow up here but my mom did (I live here now). However, she didn't tell about the Wedding Cookie Table tradition. I like to bake and was invited to the FB Group Pittsburgh Wedding Cookie Tables. Those people are incredible! They take it seriously and create some amazing arrangements of cookies.

Earlier this week I finally did a pantry closet clean out and reorganization. That also involved the laundry room and other places where overflow had ended up. I’m so glad it is done. Now I just have to keep it that way.
I need to find a new ceiling fan/light fixture for the living room. I have done some looking, but haven’t found anything right for the space. I get discouraged and quit looking after a short time. And it will involve getting the electrician here with a tall ladder and probably a helper since it’s a two-story space.
Most things I procrastinate about end up taking only a short time to do. It’s that getting started that is so hard. I do keep a running list of things, and crossing them off the list is motivating.
I also find that I get interested in doing something when I should be getting something else done.

Opening my school email. I know there's a whole bunch of them waiting for me, just not willing to go there quite yet.
