For the technique on this card, are the backgrounds done first or are the images stamped first? Or does it even matter? Thanks!

The backgrounds are inked 1st through a stencil or using masking paper. Then the black stamp over that. That's how we learned in GinaKs class.

Pretty! Some inks might obscure the black stamping (oxides, for example) so I agree that the stamping is better done after the blending.
