The last week or so I noticed that my TikTok isn't showing me usernames. It's showing me their real name. Example: JungleSkipper is now showing as his real name SheriefZ. If I click on their profile, I can see the username I'm used to. I've tried googling to find out why they are all switched but I'm not seeing it. It's just giving me directions to change my username. I thought it was just a few at first, but it is literally all the people I follow. Has anyone else noticed anything? Did a setting change? It's not that big of a deal, but it is frustrating. LOL

Wondering if some people on TikTok are making threats or saying things that would make legal authorities want to take a look.
If the real name is shown, perhaps those things will not get posted--or if they do, it makes it easier for the legal folks to identify who is doing it.
This is just a guess since I am not a registered TikTok user--I only see what links others share.

I will have to check. I like having a username there vs. my real name showing. If it switched, I'll just deal with it.
Sort of related, I'm a moderator for a local Pittsburgh photo page on FB. All submissions have to be approved. I used to be able to do it as a moderator but it won't let us do that now. The owner of the page had to bump me up to admin for me to see the posts.

I noticed too. And the "clear" function disappeared after like 3 days. (It cleared the caption so you could read the actual text in a post)

I have to admit that I have never once looked at the names on anything I watch on Tik Tok, so I can't comment on whether this has changed for me. I just watch the funny videos and scroll through with paying any attention to the names.

TikTok has not changed for me..yet. But the Facebook app did. I can’t choose “most recent” anymore. I use it so little already but this will completely dissuade me from using Facebook at all.
