Well duh! Only a dimwit didn’t understand what Barr was doing.
And we need to get past this idea that a sitting President can’t be indicted. As the Republicans proved, they can and did stonewall the impeachment trials so there has to an alternative.

I have to say when it floods here in CA, and it does flood from time to time, I’ve never had to worry about this floating around in the flood waters.

Some people in Florida are not happy with Matt Gaetz .. A Florida Republican politician has penned an op-ed lambasting Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) for his presumed betrayal of his supporters.*** Like all of Matt Gaetz’s donors, my dad trusted him to use that money to further conservative ideals," Lombardo wrote. "Had my father known that Gaetz would use his money to pay pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s attorney, he would have never given him a penny." *** "Gaetz broke my dad’s, and thousands of other donors’ trust when he used their money to pay the attorney most known for defending the world’s worst child-sex trafficker," he wrote. "To think that money my dad earned as a decorated combat veteran on the field of battle went to Gaetz’s sex-trafficking defense infuriates me and my family. *** An even bigger betrayal is that Gaetz put himself into a position that he needed a sex-trafficking defense attorney while serving on the Congressional Armed Services Committee," he wrote. Due to Gaetz's status, Lombardo stressed how vulnerable the lawmaker is to becoming a target for blackmail. *** "As a member of the Committee, Gaetz has access to Top Secret, classified information," Lombardo wrote. " www.rawstory.com/matt-gaetz-trafficking-2657891593/He had a lot more to say..

Although not all Christian leaders are perverts... This one has valuable words. In a column for ten Religion News Service, Christian author David Dark called out religious institutions that turn a blind eye to high-profile members of their congregations who are not only '"abusive" but also threaten or incite violence.According to Dark, there are far too many political leaders who are using their Christianity as a shield as they make outrageous claims and preach hate in the name of Donald Trump, and the leaders of the churches that they ostensibly belong to should be calling them out and disassociating themselves from them. To make his point, Dark singled out highly controversial, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who has whole-heartedly embraced "Christian nationalism" andrecently attacked the FBI after agents searched Mar-a-Lago for stolen documents. *** In the case of Marjorie Taylor Greene, we have an elected official who spreads myriad forms of disinformation and who was also baptized at North Point Community Church in 2011," he reported. "Most interestingly, North Point pastor Andy Stanley has been outspoken concerning Christian nationalism and polarization (see his most recent book 'Nothing Divides Like Politics'). If baptism is to have meaning as a moral or communal commitment, I think North Point would be right to draw a line between what its public witness is, and is meant to be, and Marjorie Taylor Greene’s violent antics."www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-2657891464/

According to the CDC Fentanyl overdose is the leading cause of death for 18 to 45 yr olds. A recent report by the federal Commission on Combating Synthetic Opioid Trafficking stated that Mexico is now the dominant source of fentanyl. Just the other day 15,000 rainbow colored pills were seized in Arizona. Now they’re making them look like candy to attract kids.

Really sad that do many young adults are turning to drugs.

They should have known Rick Scott richest Senator is a grifter/maybe thief bad money manager?... Now millions gone, improperly spent? Oh my!! Seems not to handle other people's money well!!!! This week it was revealed that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was dumping in tons of money into Republican candidates that are currently losing in an election where they thought it would be a walk. But there's an organization in place to help senate candidates for the GOP and typically the money goes to ads and other funds to help candidates without the.... The Washington Post reported on Friday that Scott's spending has been suspicious.*** The report goes on to reveal that Republicans are furious and demanding answers from Scott. Pat Dennis, of American Bridge, a Democratic research organization, looked deeper into the spending charges now that the details have been released. *** "I don't have any big answers about the NRSC's finances, but I can tell you they categorized thousands in expenses to Waffle House as 'air charter,'" said Dennis. He noted, however, that the category was changed. "Only other folks getting money for air charter are Rick Scott himself, and the insurance company AFLAC for some reason."An air charter means Scott is using the NRSC for a private plane to fly him around the country instead of flying commercial. He also pointed out some other odd costs that the RNSC is spending money on, like fancy cups, figurines and commemorative masks. "They spent $6k on commemorative cups, $6k on commemorative figurines, 2400 on engraving for said moments, but I'm truly impressed by the amount of spending on commemorative masks," said Dennis. *** Dennis also observed that there was more than $50 million more in cash out the door than there was at the same time in the 2020 election year. Rick Scott was forced out of his hospital company in the lat 1990s after federal investigators found fraudulent billing and practices to the tune of 14 felonies. As the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported in 2018, "most happened under Scott’s leadership."www.rawstory.com/republican-senate-campaign-commitee-blows-cash/

Not sure what this might lead to in Ukraine.... Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev confirmed a car exploded and that the daughter of top adviser to President Vladimir Putin was inside. Denis Pushilin, who heads the pro-Kremlin Donetsk People's Republic in eastern Ukraine confirmed the attack, though he blamed Ukraine, according to the Daily Mail. Dayra Dugin was driving her Land Cruiser Prado when it was suddenly engulfed in flames on the side of the road near the village of Bolshiye Vyazyomy on Saturday. Her father, Alexander Dugin, 60, is known for being a far-right fascist and often referred to as "Putin's Brain" or Putin's "Rasputin." Dugin was the architect of the invasion of Ukraine, which has spawned a war lasting considerably longer than Putin ever thought it would. However, the younger Dugin was also an activist in her own right. She used her father's name to establish herself in Moscow and played her own political games among higher society insiders. *** Conspiracy theories have spread across Russian social media from people wondering if it was an assassination attempt on the elder Dugin or a message to him about the war. Pushilin alleged that Ukraine "terrorists" blew up Dugin's daughter. www.rawstory.com/russia-alexander-dugin-daughter/

He keeps ignoring the fact both his opponents received more votes then he did. And to use his term “by a lot”. The first time he ran he lost the popular vote by 3M and only won because an antiquated electoral college. The second time he ran he lost the popular vote by 7M votes and this time lost the electoral college.

The Republicans like to criticize the Democrats agenda or actions they take on an issue but the Republicans never offer an alternative.
So informed voters when they watch this stuff on tv they should be asking themselves what is the Republicans alternative to fix this? But many don’t.

The problem with Graham claiming, “Graham asked for a total quashal citing the speech or debate clause, which allows senators to say basically whatever they want while they’re legislating.” Is that he was not “legislating” on any specific piece of legislation, he was trying to overturn an election. Unless that clause means they can say whatever they want while they are sitting Senators. If that is the case it needs to be changed now.

From the Daily Beast about Lindsey Graham call…. link“The Fulton County District Attorney’s office will investigate a call from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that took place ten days after the presidential election, a source told The Washington Post. In the call, Lindsey asked Raffensperger whether he could discount election ballots. The DA’s probe of the call will be part of a larger criminal investigation into efforts by Trump and his pals to pressure Georgia officials to invalidate the results of the 2020 presidential election. Graham’s communications director Kevin Bishop called the inquiry “ridiculous,” adding, “Sen. Graham was asking about how the signature verification process worked.”In either scenario above he had no business making the call, because quite frankly, as a Senator of South Carolina it was none of his business how the State of Georgia runs it’s election especially if there was no indication of fraud.

What is interesting about his comments is the Republican Party offers their voters nothing. That person who beat Cheney in the primary offered nothing specific. So if the Republican voters are tired of Jan 6 and the 2020 election and the current crop of Republican candidates are less then forthcoming on why one should vote for them, what exactly are the Republican voters voting for? Do they even know? From The Hill. link” GOP lawmaker says Cheney’s primary loss reveals ‘massive disconnect’ between politicians and Americans”“Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.) on Sunday said Rep. Liz Cheney’s defeat in her Wyoming Republican primary battle against a Trump-backed opponent last week reveals a “massive disconnect” between what Americans want and what politicians prioritize while in office. Barr told NBC’s “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd that Republicans are no longer concerned about the 2020 election or what happened on Jan. 6, 2021, which was evident in Cheney’s primary results. These congressional seats do not belong to politicians in Washington,” Barr said. “These seats belong to the American people. And there is a massive, massive disconnect between the priorities of politicians in Washington and the concerns of the American people.” Cheney (R-Wyo.), who voted to impeach former President Trump and is one of only two Republicans serving on the House select committee probing the Jan. 6, 2021 rioting at the Capitol, was defeat by double-digit percentage points last Tuesday by Harriet Hageman, who has endorsed Trump’s false claims that the 2020 election was stolen. Despite the loss, Cheney has remained spirited and adamant that her most important job as an elected official has been to highlight Trump’s role in the attack on the Capitiol and his false claims the election was stolen. She remains committed to countering Trump’s influence in the GOP and is even potentially considering a run for the White House.” An example of what the Republicans offer the voter…
