Today can you ask for a social worker who can help get your son from the hospital straight to an inpatient facility? Don't give him time to let the grass grow underneath his feet. This might have to wait until tmw, but I'm guessing discharge planners work 7 days per week. Though I'm relieved that he's awake and talking, I hope that he gets into a great facility that will give him the support and treatment that is vital to his well being.
I hope that you're able to rest a bit.

I just saw this now, and I'm happy to read the update that your son is awake and talking - that must be such a relief.
Hard to imagine what his girlfriend was thinking & hopefully he'll re-think the value of that relationship.

I’m so thankful for the improvement but that woman? I know she’s not the pressing issue now, but I really think she should face something…withholding info on pills…knowing he took pills and sitting to do nothing. What a complete piece of shit she is

I am so glad that he is continually improving. I am another who is angry at the girlfriend and I feel that she needs to be charged with something for withholding information.

Oh my goodness, I am just seeing this thread for the first time. I am thankful he is voluntarily going to get the help he needs. I just can't imagine as a mom. Hugs and prayers to your family!

Glad he is awake and wanting to get help. Hopefully there is a way to prevent the "girlfriend" from visiting him at the hospital and at rehab and that he realizes that she needs to go.
