I have FOUR of those Space Academy lines. I usually buy two of most things. I found a good deal on them later and forgot that I had them. I do have lots of good photos to use though, so there's that.
I have way too many PL cards. I wish they would have sold them with 2 or 4 of each card instead of 8.
Epoxy.
And I am sure there are plenty more things, but I purge a lot and so I don't have to live with my regrets.

I think half my scrap room is filled with regrets. I still haven’t opened my Fuse tool. Distress paint wasn’t for me. I know there are a lot of other examples but I’m obviously blocked them out so I don’t feel guilty anymore. I think one regret I have that I keep falling for is storage solutions. I am getting better but really need to remind myself to stop and evaluate if that storage will really work for me. I have figured out to only buy white or clear storage. At least then everything coordinates.
I think you are ME!!!

I regret buying die sets that have small and fiddly pieces. I really love the look of them (Spellbinders makes a lot of these types) but I KNOW I won't enjoy using them. Sometimes it's hard to back away from them, but I try really hard not to talk myself into buying them! It's so funny you say this. I just bought a few Spellbinders flower sets and wow, there are a lot of dies in the set. It's pretty overwhelming. I'm really going to try to force myself to use them.

Unless I start making a ton of cards to sell, though, my kids are going to be stuck with a lot of those regret purchases. You could always make cards for donation! We have a whole thread full of groups who would love some of your beautiful creations It's very satisfying.

I will literally count the amount of cards/individual stamps/ephemera pieces I know for sure I'll use, then count the maybes and finally count the let's-be-honest-probably-not. If I don't hit a good % margin, I skip the product altogether nowadays. It's an easier way to manage emotions and that treat-yourself attitude, just use numbers and calculate how much you're investing and getting back out of it. I'm doing this with stamp sets, especially ones with lots of sentiments. I have a bad habit of overestimating what percentage I will use. Yesterday I almost got sucked in by a popular one but I started counting how many were sentiments I would rarely say/put on a card and saved myself quite a lot of money. I definitely have some stamps I have bought because of online influence and/or because the theme was what I needed even if the style was not. It's OK, we all make mistakes and the pain helps us learn! I just need to find the energy to actually declutter the sets I've decided to let go of.

Breaking everything down to its individual elements helps big time with making a purchase decision, doesn't it? I will literally make marks on a post-it note and count when it comes to ephemera packs or sticker sets. It's never been this easy to keep a clear head and walk away from something that's seriously FOMO-inducing. "Yah, I'm not paying 57 cents per ephemera piece I'm sure I'll use in this pack, that's bananas." Boom, done.

I've definitely been sucked into buying things I thought I needed thanks to fomo, I'm pretty sure there have been some SC kits that fall into that category. What I have learnt to do is to count when I'm looking at a Project Life-style card set, stamp set, ephemera pack, etc.: I will literally count the amount of cards/individual stamps/ephemera pieces I know for sure I'll use, then count the maybes and finally count the let's-be-honest-probably-not. It's an easier way to manage emotions and that treat-yourself attitude, just use numbers and calculate how much you're investing and getting back out of it. I do this on all my purchases and have done for quite a few years. At first it was about making sure I was spending my limited budget wisely, now it's as much a habit as it is about trying to keep my stash to fit within a certain space. Honestly though, I think the main reason I don't have a bigger list of regretful purchases is the cost and availability of product here. I used to occasionally read through the TM threads and wish we could get even a fraction of the great deals the US peas were finding, and I know if I had access to those products at those prices I would absolutely have a larger stash and no doubt a larger list of regrets.

The SCT Let's Stamp Together subscription. I've yet to be inspired enough by a shipment to use any of the sets of stamps/stencils they have sent. Oh no! I just subscribed to this - hoping that the Sept and Nov kits would be useable… My big regret is buying the WeRMemoryKeepers Kiwi colored albums. I tried to take the stickers off of them (I bought four) and they all ripped. 🤬🤬🤬

One more recent regret that stands out was the Frank Garcia line 31. I don’t often pay full price for a collection and of course I don’t need anymore Halloween but I thought I was gonna really love it. I purchased a good amount of the collection and when it arrived I just wasn’t impressed with the colors. They are super muted. I have made a few layouts with it and it’s just not great. The only upside is that I don’t have any other Halloween that is similar so maybe at some point it will be what I need for a project or layout.

MDScrapaholic, I have an 8.5x11 WRMK kiwi sb and love the color so much. But honestly none of the WRMK albums have held up well. All the edges are frayed and "crumbly". Such a shame because these albums were my favorite. I wish I knew of a good replacement. Especially in that kiwi color.

Epoxy stickers. 99% of the clear epoxy has turned yellow over the years. Especially the ones from Creative Imaginations. I replaced the ones used in my scrapbooks, and tossed the rest. I will never again purchase epoxy stickers. “Lucky” for me they turned yellow before I had a chance to use most of them. No matter how cute I will not buy epoxy anything anymore. ( thank god my Enamel hasn’t changed colors because I love little shiny things but won’t get epoxy ever again. Enamel fills that need.

I don't exactly regret buying all the stamps I have, but I am on a serious freeze for stamps and I have kept it up for about 4 months now. I have so many stamp sets and honestly don't even make that many cards. They are just from video watching really, I see the vid and I think, "Oh that looks great, but to do X I NEED that stamp set!" And there it sits. I do stamp in my scrapbooks sometimes but these are very much for cardmaking. At the same time, I don't want to get rid of them, I really like them. Things I do regret buying: All the TH grungeboard. So dumb, I never made anything with that. Several Citrus Twist albums. I got carried away with the sale, and I am discovering I don't really want to scrap that small. I should have waited for their 6x8 albums. A very large order from a sketchy online vender for older paper lines. The paper wasn't in the greatest shape, I can't return it, paypal denied my request for reimbursement because I had received my items, even though they were not in the shape as presented. Lesson learned, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. I am sure there is more if I think about it. If you still have the grungebaord, you should list it on the TH Products Buy and Sell Group on Facebook. It has long since been discontinued and people hoard it up.

i bought Carta Bella's Space Academy collection kit when it first came out - it looked so fun, my kids like space...perfect, right? Except there it has sat...the papers are busy, the cut-aparts are an odd size, I've used a couple of stickers...but the kit as a whole? no, it's definitely one of those 'what was I thinking?' purchases. BUT today...today I'm working on a layout using some of the cut-aparts. I still couldn't figure out a way to work in the papers but...it's a start. So what have you bought on a whim and regretted? I used the papers I bought from this line just fine (except the Jetson looking one, still trying to figure out how to use that one) but I didn't get the cut aparts. My kids like Star Wars, Star Trek, building spaceships out of Lego...anything space really but stickers, they just don't work. I am now using them when I mail a letter to hold the envelope closed...

They do get really heavy, though, when they're filled, so we have to be careful with them.

LOL...what haven't I bought on a whim and regretted! Honestly, I have so much stash that falls into this category. One of my big regrets was Graphic 45--it's very popular in my neck of the woods. In particular one instructor that used to work at one of my LSSs did beautiful layouts with it. Unfortunately it just doesn't go with my photos or style of scrapbooking. There was always pressure to buy it and do something great with it. I bought so many lines. Ultimately, I sold most of them through a garage sale. I think I only kept a couple of the lines that had more of a nature focus. I may still part with them yet. I belonged to an art journal group for awhile. While I was doing that I bought tons of mixed media (paints and pastes, etc.). Most of it dried up before I even used it. I am very careful not to buy much of this anymore, only the very basics, or I don't get around to using it. I'm slowly starting to lose my attachment to some of these supplies. I'm no longer waiting for the perfect photo, so I will use bits and pieces as they work for me, or I'll just use the b-sides. Good luck with the Space Academy, Linda ! I can see why you bought it. It's adorable, but I can also see that it would be challenging to use. I’m the opposite. I’ve gone from scrapbooking to junk journaling. If you want to trade your Graphic 45 or that type of vintage looking stash, I can send you more modern stuff. Inbox me if you’re interested and we can talk about what lines/manufacturers you like. That's a great offer, and I would be interested except I'm in Canada and the shipping to and from the US is killer

I regret jumping on the Studio Calico bandwagon. I've never used any of the kits I've purchased. Totally not my aesthetic, but I HAD to have them.

I’ve got stamps, dies, papers, and tools that all fall into the “regrets” category. They all seemed like a good idea at the time, though, or I wouldn’t have bought them. The regret purchases are one reason why I do more card making than scrapbooking, and have ever since I moved to Texas. I don’t have any LSS near enough to be worth the trip, so I raid my stash. I can use any and all of my “regret” purchases for card making. It’s far harder to use those items for scrapbooking. I love Graphic 45 and have a huge collection, thanks to Tuesday Morning finds of the past. It doesn’t work well for my scrapbooking, but it is great for card making. Unless I start making a ton of cards to sell, though, my kids are going to be stuck with a lot of those regret purchases. I also tend to use my regret purchases on cards. Like the Wild About You die that I didn't check the size; a little too large for how I scrapbook. BUT I made a lot of Valentine's cards.

The list is too big to try to post here.
But seriously... I don't really think I can say because once I let it go, I let it go. I don't like to liv in regret re: my purchases. If I were to pick one that I really do regret, it's Colorplay paper that I bought just because it was Disney. The problem is I don't like the gloss on the paper. It doesn't even FEEL like paper to me.
It is on my my list of things to not buy under almost any circumstances. I say almost because I did buy a Hanukah collection for next year's 2Peas Holiday cards for our participants who celebrate.
