The first 'fess up' is: How many full-sized ink pads do you have? How many ink cubes do you have? Help me feel better about what I've collected in 5 months of card making please and thank you! Now that I've typed that, I wonder if I should add a poll, so I will. That way if you want to fess up anonymously, you can

Full Size - 51+ Cube/Mini - 21-35 I've been stamping for more than 20 years, so I have quite a collection. I didn't start out with a lot, but it does grow quickly.

I vote the max for both full size (51+) and cubes (81+). I have full set syndrome.

I said 21 to 35, but I really don't know. I do know I don't have what I would like to have.

I voted max on full and cube.
I guess I have more than I thought 🤣😂...and still can't always find just the right color.

I voted the max on both. My full size ink pads are about 1/3 distress oxide, 1/3 Gina K and 1/3 20yr old Stampin Up pads that probably are dry. The cubes are where I have full set syndrome.

I don’t even want to know. All I know is I pretty much dislike them all (except my black Versafine for stamping sentiments.)
I’d really like to ditch them all and start over. I’ve been a big failure when it comes to stamping. I think part of my difficulties are related to the fact that I have crummy stamp pads. I have pretty much abandoned even trying to stamp, even though I have a lot of stamps sets. Bummer.

I thought I had a lot fewer than I do! It came out to be about 40-odd full size, all but 3 are Distress Oxides and 2 of the remaining 3 are older inks I never use. My Versafine Onyx black is the only full sized pad I use all the time. Plus 38 Catherine Pooler minis which I live and maybe a dozen random cubes I got in kits and as freebies. I realized the other day that I need re-inkers for many (eventually all) of my CP minis and that's going to cost a lot so I'm hesitant to expand my collection of her colors even though I love them.

Max on both for me too. My obsession with ink pads is as bad as my obsession with clothes.

Well. I guess I’ll have to organize mine before I can count them. I have them still with my SCT kits, my Hero arts kits, in boxes. I do think my Distress Oxides are all together.

I haven’t counted, but I know it’s 50+. I have all the Gina K minis and most of Pink Fresh. Then some Oxides and SSS full sized pads.

Max on both for me too. My obsession with ink pads is as bad as my obsession with clothes. Ha, I'm with you on that. When I was in my teens my dad owned a small specialty woman's boutique. I blame my (still decades later) clothing "problem" on him

I think it would make a lovely fall project. Right now I’m leaning towards Catherine Pooler. I like that she has a reasonably priced mini stamp pad option. Perhaps I’ll be able to master a technique in time to make Christmas cards.

I love CP inks but just be aware that the minis only come in bundles and they will need re-inking much faster than a normal sized ink pad. Depending on what colors you want for Christmas you might find the thread about red inks here useful - 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/132679/favorite-red-ink-christmas-cardsThe red and green that I want for Christmas cards are both only available as full sized pads for now. I would also ask if you have a stamping platform of some kind because that can make even more of an impact on stamping success than inks

I love my CP inks. Now I love to stamp with solid stamps. I just got the last minis from scrapbookpal.com. Its $3 cheaper, no tax and free shipping over $50 than CP website. No re-inkers unfortunately 😔. It looked like they have all the mini bundles. There is 2 different grouping with her inks. PARTY(vibrant)and SPA( muted)

I'm not your target audience, since I exclusively incorporate stamping into scrapping & am not a cardmaker. After owning an array of colors that I rarely used & eventually donated, I now have ZERO cubes & FIVE full-sized pads - VersaMark plus VersaFine Clair in Morning Mist, Nocturne, Twilight, & Pinecone - that are ideal for my basic (stamping/stenciling/inking/heat embossing) purposes!

I don't do a lot of stamping, but I've managed to acquire: VersaMark Clear, a black, lavender, sky blue and fuchsia in full size. A Colorbox multi-colour flower pad set, and around a dozen small cubes, in assorted colours. A distress ink in brown.
I use the pale blues (for colouring/tracing over in pen) and black (for everything else) the most. But I get more use out of my Copics.

I get really annoyed that with my PF and my Altenew dye inks, when using solid stamps, I still have to stamp the image 3 times. It’s a time suck that I’d love to reduce. Thank you!

They’re very juicy and the foam pad releases the ink very well, as long as the pads are well inked - they do need re-inking quite a bit because of those same benefits. It’s also a dye ink so it soaks in and fills in any little patchiness. I think the full sized pads are better because you have more surface area and can just tap the ink very gently on the stamp, and the full sized pads don’t need re-inking as often, but I get great results with the minis too. Just need to buy a lot of re-inkers sometime soon.

I have done some direct to paper and blending with my inks, uses the ink up faster.

I did a preliminary count - 81 - full-size and minis. I just put them all in my new Ikea Alex drawers. I know I have more around here, but lack the gumption to search for them. When I happen upon them I will add them to my drawer!

When I blend I make sure that I pick up ink from the edges instead from the middle.
