My mojo vanished in July - possibly because I've been sick for the past 2+ weeks - but I'm hopeful August will be more creative.
- catch up on the 2nd and 3rd weeks of the 4x6 class -do a sheetload of cards - either July or August's

I am also hoping to scrapbook more in August. I haven't created anything in about a month because this summer has been stressful.
Things I will attempt to accomplish: - Clean craft room. - Rip apart a layout that has been sitting incomplete for a month. I just don't like it. Time to move on. - Catch up on Scrap a Rainbow prompts. -Secure baby sitter for a virtual crop at the end of the month.

My August Goal is (courtesy of Linda ) All Used Up August. Trying to find something to use up at least once a day. A paper pack, a pack of embellishments, a dispenser of adhesive, a sticker sheet, a ribbon spool, etc. I am not super confident that I'll get this done for all 31 days, but that's my motivation. Just Finish July was mostly successful, although there's still plenty of projects lying around that need to get done. So now I'm trying to match up those projects with product that can be used up each day.

I've only scrapbooked "here and there" for the last ten years or so--previously, I went to a crop at my LSS between once a week and once a month plus at least one annual weekend retreat. Then my job and my kids' sports got in the way and I just did an annual retreat with maybe another couple days during the course of the year. "My" crop group started meeting in person again this spring, and so far, I've made it to three out of three crops--yay me! My August goal is to make the monthly crop and to get the pages for my son's 2021 grad finished.

I just met my August goal of “just scrap a damn layout already!” I think I’m up to five for all of 2022. Oh wait. I just realized I forgot Nuvo Drops. In that case, I’ve almost reached my goal for August to just scrapbook something.

I hope to get photos printed this Saturday so I can scrap my July pic's and stories next week.
Have five August and three September birthdays to create cards for.
Also need to scrap July and August calendar pages.
If I happened to get all that done, I have a stack of photos from May/June and a list of page topics to scrap them.

I'm growing a bit tired of pocket scrapping (which is great because I only have 50 thousand or so PL cards... ) and have had the urge to do some 12 x 12 layouts. So I'm going to play with paper the next few weekends! I'm excited for that!

August goal is the finish my WITL album! I have all the photos printed and now I need to go back and journal and then embellish. I tend to batch process for projects like these.

My goals for August mainly concern keeping up with AD's 4x6 photo sketch class - my goal for the 10 weeks is to get at least 2 layouts out of each sketch: 1 for my Wedding Album and 1 for my trip to Alaska, though not necessarily during the highlighted sketch's week. Right now I need to select photos for both wedding and Alaska for weeks 6,7, & 8, Alaska photos for week 4 (that's this week! but it's okay because I at least could make a wedding layout for this week), and wedding photos for week 5. I also need to order prints where I may have gaps in the story.

I’m still just trying to keep up with Allison Davis’ class. My huge accomplishment for the day and possibly for the month is that I moved hundreds of of pictures from my phone to my pc today.

I just got back from CKC where I spent so much money it is a crime. The next morning I woke up to a soul crushing case of Covid and have been in bed for 3 days. So welcome to August.
I have very few goals for August because I have a 10 day trip to Texas and only 2 one day crops. One crop is tomorrow if I am well enough to even go.
Minimally my August goals will be to organize all this new stuff I bought along with what I got at Expo last April. Who am I kidding? I doubt I will do much of anything in August

I got covid for the first time yesterday. I decided since I will clearly be in bed for the next few days I should just go ahead and take the month of August off. It’s a hobby right? The world won’t fall apart if I spend the month of august enjoying summer.

It’s a hobby right? The world won’t fall apart if I spend the month of august enjoying summer. I am sorry you are not feeling well, and hope you feel better very soon. Your words really struck a chord with me in a prophetic kind of way...I was feeling guilty that I wasn't getting very much scrapbooking done (because I'd been kayaking and barbecuing and spending time in parks with dogs) and that I had not even built my August Shimelle Best of Both World kit yet and it is August 4th. Perhaps I need to take a step back.

My mojo disappeared in May and I'm hoping will return once my kid starts school next week. I'd really like to keep working on my PL, I've only done January and I'd love to get Feb and March done. I also need to go through photos and do a major delete. myboysnme and hmp - I'm sorry you're both sick! Hope you recover quickly.

Kmage, just a gentle reminder that all your fun activities are a reason to scrap and you should enjoy them! Otherwise what would you scrap? No guilt allowed with hobbies! You’re doing some of the best things in life. Enjoy those moments. Revel in them. Now if I could just take my own advice...

myboysnme & hmp I hope you are both well soon. Covid is no joke. Give yourself as much time to rest as possible. As I've mentioned before in previous months' threads, I haven't really scrapped since losing my craft room area. But this morning I've done something scrapping-adjacent. I paired May & June big event photos with the special paper I bought for them. Senior graduation, prom, a day trip, and a circus visit. I realize that I never regret buying the special themed papers for those big events, even though they're more spendy. I still have one more graduation photo to order. The hs brought in Lifetouch to take a pic as each graduate was awarded the "diploma" because the stands were so far from the ceremony on the field that you couldn't really take a photo without a telescoping camera lens. Great, right? One 8x10 print? $39.95! Plus tax and shipping. Just want a digital copy? No problem. $52.99 I'm settling with a single 5x7 print for $9.99, plus tax & shipping.

kmage - there is a season for memory making and a season for memory keeping...no guilt! LavenderLayoutLady - I know, the prices are outrageous for those photos but what can you do?

I'm settling with a single 5x7 print for $9.99, plus tax & shipping I did this too! There was such a huge difference between the 8x10 of DS getting his diploma, and the 5x7 I went with the smaller pic. I just could not stomach paying 30+ $$ for a single photo.

How did everyone do in August?
I didn't accomplish as much as I hoped to but September is a new month with new (or revised) goals
