Do you add a title on layouts? (KEY: Always = 10/10 times; Usually = 7-9/10; Sometimes = 4-6/10; Rarely = 1-3/10; Never = 0/10). TIA.

somewhere between sometimes and rarely, I think. I used to be an always back when I first started scrapping but not so much anymore

I said usually.
Sometimes, I decorate with so many words, you might think the title is something different than what I determined it to be. But really, I don’t care if you notice a title at all. 😂

I feel like I almost always use one. I am probably a 99% girl.

I usually do. It may be as simple as the name of the person or place in the photo, but I still count that as a title

I usually do, I love putting titles together, finding the right mix of pre-made words or alphas. It's one of the things I consider quite early in my process, at least the placement of it, if not the actual words.

I chose 'Usually' but wondered if I was more of a 'Sometimes'. I just had a look at the first page of my Flickr account, and I had 68 pages with a title and 28 pages without. That's about 70% with and 30% without.
Most of the layouts that didn't have an obvious title had some word strips that I could claim as a title I guess!

I put usually. Very rarely do I leave a page without a title. Back in the day it was always stated that pages needed one. Now I just do what I like. (But they usually have one)

Every two page spread will have some kind of title. Some will be large and flashy; some not much more bold than the journaling; but there will be a title. As I said on the other thread, the title is what holds it all together for me, and is often the first part of the plan I nail down.

Up until recently, layouts had to have a title for me. I decided in my Disney albums that I don’t need titles for every page. I have 37 photos from the Festival of Fantasy Parade. There is no way I’m stressing myself out over titles for the same event this part of a larger vacation album. I also decided I didn’t need to journal on every single page either. I’ll journal about Grumpy coming up and pointing out my birthday button and fun things like that, but I’m not stressing on the whole album.

I’m in the 99% camp. It might not be a large title. Sometimes just a smaller one that is part of the journaling block.

I usually do, but (I think this came up in another thread too) my titles are very uninspiring! I rack my brain thinking of a creative and catchy title, but it usually is just the thing. Like, "Moose Lake." Or, "Christmastime." I know there are lots of folks on the board who do amazing, catchy titles (looking at you kitbop) and I try to take inspiration from them. I am wondering if I shouldn't front load my title. It's almost always the last thing I do, to make sure it fits on the page, etc. (aka Shimelle style) but now I am wondering if I shouldn't try to think of a title first and make that work. Worth a shot anyway!

I always have a title. Usually when I do a two page spread I put a title on each page, too.

I try to be always, but realistically I'm more usually. I don't enjoy journaling, so I try to always have a title.

Always. I feel like the title sets the tone of the layout and some layouts would feel a little...I don't know...vague without a title. It's a quick way to tell about something specific in the pictures or the story.

I voted usually, although some photos don't really need a title. I used to come up with cute or funny titles and then got away from that and used some I felt were boring. kitbop's titles have been inspiring me to come up with fun titles again.

Almost always for any layout made in the last 5-7 years. Occasionally before then. It's something I realized I really liked when I would watch Shimelle's videos and I started incorporating more titles on my own layouts. Now a layout just doesn't really feel finished without one.

I usually let the pictures tell the story (mostly because I’m lazy)

I chose always. I love a good play on words. As well, I’m a pretty minimalist scrapper so titles are usually a major design element on my pages, generally a mix of multiple fonts from silhouette cuts and stickers.

Always on layouts that go into my 12x12 sized albums so 12x12 and 81/2x11, however I don't always if they are in a smaller album, project life or travellers notebook.

I voted …sometimes. I just don’t feel the need for one most of the time.

Thanks for your responses &/or participation in the poll. I always include a title on each layout (which may be one, two, or multiple pages). ... I am wondering if I shouldn't front load my title. It's almost always the last thing I do, ... but now I am wondering if I shouldn't try to think of a title first and make that work. Worth a shot anyway! My scrapbooking is story-driven, so I decide on a title early in the process. After selecting photos/memorabilia that support the story that I want to tell, I write the journaling & brainstorm a title. The photos/memorabilia/journaling/title influence my paper/embellishment selections & layout design. I chose always. I love a good play on words. As well, I’m a pretty minimalist scrapper so titles are usually a major design element on my pages, generally a mix of multiple fonts ... Ditto.
