My go to Chocolate Chip recipe is from the Crisco sticks (Crisco instead of butter). My grandma's recipe which was SO GOOD and probably similar to Toll House doesn't compute in Colorado. The altitude messes with them. I yet to master it. So I just switched to the Crisco one and delish!! CC is my favorite cookie.

Oh my gosh! What dedication!! (Side note---when you said he picked Tollhouse cookies because it's a tried & true recipe, my first thought was my grandmother, who hated making Tollhouse cookies because they always turned out as "Flathouse" cookies instead. I must have inherited that cookie baking issue, because chocolate chip cookies love to come out flat as pancakes for me as well. ) Put the dough in the refrigerator before putting them on the cookie sheets.
