Do you get them often? I read about people saying, "I thought it was a summer cold, but it was Covid."
I MIGHT have had one summer cold in my life, but it is not a regular event for me.

I usually get a summer cold. This summer I haven't, but my allergies have been terrible.

No, but I very seldom get sick at all.

I had one a summer about 5 years ago and that's the only one I can remember. At the time it surprised me because I usually have one winter cold each year but hadn't had one the previous winter.
If I got sick today, I would definitely think it was Covid.

No, but I very seldom get sick at all. Same. Dd1 had a “slight cold” and took two home tests - both said positive for COVID. She was supposed to come over Wednesday to visit- told me she had a slight sore throat and asked if I wanted her to stay home. Glad I said yes! She’s almost feeling 100% now, though.

I'm on the tail end of a 3-wk virus of some sort - never did test positive and nor did DH (who gave it to me) or DD (who gave it to him) or DS (who brought it back from Guam and gave it to DD) so presumably npt Covid but whatever it was was awful - congestion, sore throat, exhaustion, coughing, so much coughing...
We don't tend to get summer colds but we're also less exposed to people in general during the summer - school is out

I just had Covid three weeks ago and woke up yesterday with a summer cold. I almost always get one. I’m very irritated this morning.

After adding zinc to my daily vitamin mix, I haven't had a cold for probably 15 years or more. And, prior to covid, I always took advanage of any store that supplied wipes for the carts and I always came in the house and washed my hands first thing. I think that also contributed to a big factor in not getting sick.

Not necessarily a summer cold but I get a few mild colds throughout the year, enough that my immediate assumption is “cold” not “COVID”. In fact I have one right now that dh gave me (multiple tests said negative for COVID) 🙄.
