Morning all from the hot and humid east coast of Canada,
Wondering if anyone has used a slide scanner that they would recommend? We have lots of slides to digitize so would like something that allows for multiple slides at once but image quality is most important.
Thanks!

If quality is important..I suggest you find a professional service that will clean the slide, can improve the image, etc. home scanning doesn't do that. there are actually photo organizing pros. or services like scan cafe.
if you have lots of slides, the time taken will be long..

I have an older Epson scanner that has a slide insert. Works great. I got it out to use recently, and I could still get it to work with Windows 11, even though it is ancient! I would guess they have newer models. I can put 4 slides in a carrier, insert that in the scanner and it scans each picture separately, so it creates a file for each slide. I can adjust the DPI. I scan at 300 DPI, since that is the standard, and anything larger really isn't necessary. It makes a high quality image. 4 at a time isn't the fastest, but if you are, say reading the 2Peas board, you can just keep swapping slides and get quite a few done in a sitting. It can also scan photo film. Something I would check out is an app called Photomyne. You can hold up a slide and use your iPhone to 'scan' it. You can demo it for free. I think the purchase for the full functionality would be necessary to do a project, but you could fiddle with it to see if it was anything close to what would work for you. Photomyne for iPhone

I agree with this, especially if you have more than a few. I bought an at home slide scanner. The amount of work, as well as the lack of quality, made it not worth the effort.
