Goodbye to Sandra D - RIP. You were a beautiful person inside and out. I treasure my Grease and Xanadu albums.

I just found out Xanadu was released today in 1980. Which makes me even more sad.

She was my first concert, when I was 13. She was starting being "big," and the concert was in the City Auditorium. (B.W. Stevenson was her opening act, and he preformed his composition "My Maria." He died young of heart problems.) May they both RIP.

So very sad.
She had a lovely voice and I'm glad her music was part of my childhood.

Oh man. My husband will be sad to hear this. He, unlike myself, does not have a fiery hatred for the movie Grease and will turn it on when it's on (even if it's for 5 minutes). Hold up. You hate Grease? Why??? So, when I was 10, my mom, brother, and I went on the vacation from hell with some of my mom's cousins. The entire drive there, they listened to the Grease soundtrack non-stop, on repeat. Needless to say, the best part of that trip was when my mom decided we were leaving early and the Pizza Hut on the way home.

Everyone remembers her from Grease. My mom was a huge country fan and I always remember her first as a country singer. Please, Mr Please, If You Love Me, I Honestly Love You.

Well of course we remember her from Grease. It is an iconic movie and she was freaking beautiful and amazing in it! Several of us mentioned her other songs, but for sure a lot of us knew her first from Grease. Her country career started when I was 1 year old. I loved her country music, but I wasn't exposed to it until after I saw Grease. Most of us here are probably around the same age, I bet Grease was the first thing we saw her in. I bet some people here were too little to have seen Grease in the theater. Grease was by far the most successful thing she was a part of. I think it is understandable that everyone is mentioning it.
