That’s the best time to visit, IMO. The trees have leafed out and everything is in bloom in the spring. I can’t point you to a specific rental—I normally browse Airbnb for pretty places that are walkable in a town and read all the reviews. I normally only rent from superhosts and usually only for a few nights when we aren’t in the room that much. When we are in Paris, I have a place by the Opera house that we like to stay, but it’s just a room and a bathroom. IMO, I’d want a living area for a longer stay. Well, there’s two places that we’ve stayed in Normandy that I’d recommend. One right in Bayeux and one about 10 minutes outside Bayeux. I also know of a chateau in Honfleur where we may stay in 3 weeks, but that’s just a room too. Oh, I thought of another. There’s an apartment where we stayed in Amsterdam that I’d go back to again! And one more—if you are a sound sleeper, we rented a great apartment in Rome off the Campo de Fiori. But there is some nightlife and setting up the market in the morning can get noisy. PM me if you want any links. Would you mind sharing the apartment info for Rome? My dh booked a place we stayed at before. It’s a hotel in tgat neighborhood and I don’t love it. We stayed in flat near colosseum - let me know if that’s an area you’re interested in / 2 bedrooms

@gar This is what is stated on the cruise statement, but they have already changed a port in Greece to another. Still a long way off. Yugoslavia hasn't existed since the 1990s, so I wonder where they mean. Croatia and Slovenia are both parts of the former Yugoslavia, so it just doesn't make a lot of sense to use that name. Just very odd - and they might mean Croatia or Slovenia but they might mean Serbia, Macedonia etc… I mean, if travel is your trade 🤷🏻♀️

Bosnia-Herzegovina has only about 10km, and I can't see that there is a port there. Montenegro has a decent amount of coastline, but I am not sure how much of a tourist draw it is. As you say - just odd for a company that is in the tourism business.
