How often do you scrap yourself? Do you scrap selfies? Do you make sure to include yourself in group photos? What kind of things do you scrap about yourself? I'll admit to scrapping quite a few selfies. Part of the reason is to have a record that I existed. I have a scrapbook product reason though, too. I scrap a lot about my nephews so I never get the chance to use my flowered papers. So my self-portraits are a whole different style of scrapping than my other stuff. That is when I get out the really gorgeous papers. So tell me about your self scrapping habits.

I scrapbook myself all the time! Selfies (alone or with my SO), what I’m cooking/baking, reading, making, our vacations. I only scrapbooked my kids for so long and I hate that I’m not in any photos from those early years.

Yes! I have my own scrapbook for layouts just about me or me with my friends, etc. I've scrapped some older college pics of me with friends, pics with work friends, etc. I also have pics & layouts from crafty retreats, scrapbook expos...even layouts from my birthday.
Gives me a chance to use some of the pretty floral paper I have since I have a son!

I scrapbook myself. I always include myself in group photos. I always get a photo or two (or ten) by myself.
If I am somewhere, at an event....I always try to get a photo by the sign or something that indicates the event or gathering (art festival, concert, out with friends, etc...).
I take selfies. I am not shy at all, about asking someone to take a photo or two (or ten) of me and I reciprocate and take photos of them. Being a scrapbooker, I often turn it into a mini photo shoot.
When I went on a beach road trip a few years ago, I asked a young couple to take my photo by my name-date that I had drawn in the sand. I waited while they did the same. Then to make it fun, I said do you want to get piggyback on him, they loved the idea. Then they asked if I wanted to exchange photos up on the pier, so we did that as well. Each using the others phone camera.

ALL.the.time. Lol My scrapbook is about me - I’m the star and it features the supporting characters in my life if I’ve doing something with them like dh, my dogs, my dds, my bff. The scrapbooks I did in the past were about my dds and family and I wasn’t in them much. Now I take tons of selfies or selfies with others or have someone take a pic of me. The topic is just project life stuff - what I’ve doing, eating, going, etc any thing is fair game.

Not enough. For four years I did a Me album. The eighth day of every month I took a selfie. I then wrote down eight things I was thinking, feeling, doing. I loved that project. It’s fun to look back and see how much I changed. I need to get better about getting in more pictures!

I do scrap myself. Some years back I began scrapping for each son and then for granddaughter. When I do something I scrap it in their books.
I do not have my own scrapbooks any more. On activities of my own I am way behind scrapping them. They get a very low priority.
I am about 3/4ths through scrapping my life before marriage so there is that as well. Lots and lots left to do before I die.

Sure do. I am single and don't have any kids so my scrapbooks consist mostly of myself, my friends, my pets, and occasionally my parents. One of my favorite recent layouts was one I did of a selfie I took when I colored my hair for the first time. I know I probably won't do it again and the color wasn't vibrant for very long so I'm glad I documented it.

I do scrap myself - provided I have photos. I'm getting a little better at taking selfies and at reminding my kids that someone needs to include me in the pictures. I've also scrapped some of my childhood photos and years ago I started an all-about me album which is mainly journalling but some photos - haven't touched it in years though.

I've started scrapping myself more in the last couple of years. I think it started when COVID lockdowns happened, and most of the photos I was taking for PL were of me and the dog, because we couldn't go anywhere!
I don't do many "all about me" pages, but I probably should. They're fun to look back on years later. The closest I came to that was a LO that I did for a challenge on another site, back in January. It was a "10 Things About Me in 2021" page. I also did a "Currently Watching / Reading / Eating etc" page recently.

Definitely. My scrapbooks are therapy for me and memories for my kids. I want them to remember me as a part of their lives not just documenting them. I do even more of just me stuff with PL than my 12x12 pages.

That's how I started scrapbooking. It was a church project in high school to earn a medallion. I scrapped my life and did a lot until I was about twenty. My reasons to keep doing this hobby have changed over the years. I really don't care if my life is documented. I've saved ideas, but if it never gets done, that is fine with me.

When on vacation Berla takes photos of me at times, and sometimes I have someone take a photo of the both of us. I scrap those. I also did scrap myself with old Navy photos. I have never done a selfie.

Yes I do. The way I see it, my albums are memories of my life and everyone else is a supporting role 😄 I love this!! I’m not married and I don’t have children, so while I do make layouts about other people, it’s very much my perspective. When I’m out I tend to be the photo taker in the group, so often get missed. I actually have a goal of taking and scrapping more selfies.

I have to, because no one else tries to take photos of me!
All of my photos are selfies or timer photos. Except for a very few when I hand the camera/phone to one of my younger kids & ask them to snap one of me.
I scrap my birthdays, anytime I get dressed up (very rare), when I visit a museum with the kids, etc.
One thing I will say is that it is extremely important to take photos of yourself, or let someone take them of you.
My mom mostly shied away from the camera. In the past several years before her passing, she & my father had a few weddings & funerals to go to, that she dressed up for. I made it a point to take photos of them before they left for the event, even though mom didn't love being photographed.
I can tell you, those pics mean the world to my dad.

I scrapbook my family, mostly outings/vacations/activities, but I make sure that I am in at least one good photo. The perspective of the journaling is mine.
When I was scrapbooking my mom’s life, I wasn’t very happy when I realized there were almost NO photos of my dad. He was always the one behind the camera. When I came across a small proof taken by a street photographer, I was thrilled. He walked at a pace that was the speed of a jogger. His suit coat tails were flapping, not with wind, but due to his speed. The street photographer had captured it perfectly, probably in the hopes of making a sale. My dad evidently bought the one proof, which was very small, but I enlarged it to a 5x7 and made it the focus of a one page layout about my dad.
Yes, I should scrapbook more about myself, but my joy is my family, and my life revolves around them. I make sure that I’m in those photos, but up to now, I haven’t really been the focus. As I have been working on my mom’s life in story and photos, I have started to think more about making more pages just about me.

I do scrap myself, for a few of the same reasons you do artbabe - to prove I existed lol, and because I have boys and DGS, it's the only time I get to use the pretty florals and pretty pretty supplies. I have very few photos of me in my 20's and 30's so I make more of an effort to take selfies and get in the group shots - that I have to make happen or they won't lol.

I'm more likely to scrap a selfie with my BF or my kids but yes, I do scrap just me, too. They tend to be journaling-centric pages, like when I became President of the board of a non-profit I volunteer with or when I got my first full-time job after my divorce, that are a record of something I feel is crucial for my kids to know in order to understand me and who I am/why I do what I do.

We don’t have kids, so 99% of what I scrap is me, my dh, or both of us.

I do. I try to get people to include me in pictures and I take selfies. At the end of last year someone here posted about doing a Thursday three album and I have been doing that this year. Every Thursday I take a selfie and write down three things about my life that week. I pre made an album at the beginning of the year and print the photos and update it every now and then.

I scrap my opinions and outlook in my journaling, but most of my scrapping is focused on someone else: usually my dgk's.
I don't take selfies very often, and don't like the ones I do take, but if someone else shares a pic of me to scrap, I will include it in a page about whatever we were doing.
I have a couple of books of pages about my childhood and my family, but they take up nowhere near the space--and none of the pride of place--of my albums about today and the young'uns' shenanigans!

I do... usually not just random selfies - though I admittedly don't take a lot of random selfies. I can give you a perfect example of the kind of pics I have of me. I have a friend who shares my love of board games. And actually she FAR exceeds it. I enjoy them, but she LOVES them. And she's very good. So any time you can beat her, you have accomplishing something.
Yesterday, she taught me a new game & I won. I got her to get a picture for of me in front of the board.

It's just me and my husband (no kids), and the majority of my scrapbooks are our vacations, so...yes. This is me too. I love scrapping travel photos and my DH is really good about taking selfies of us, or taking photos of me, both asked and unasked. He subscribes to the take 30 photos and pick the best one theory so some of my favourite photos of me have been ones he's taken. I've done albums that are also solely about me, a lot of childhood photos, and some pages from my high school and uni pages although I have more stories I want to tell from this period of my life. I've also done albums about myself on my last two milestone birthdays that are a real snapshot in time.
