I make sure I’m in photos with the kids (even when it’s a horrible photo of me 🤭). Every once in a while I’ll do a page about me but not often. For the past few years, I try to plan something fun with the family for my birthday and I scrapbook that.

I never used to scrap myself a lot, I think 2019 is when I started to scrap myself more, get into the albums more, document things about me. I know my kids will appreciate that when I am gone. I matter and I do have a story to tell. It took me a while to really understand what that means.

I include myself in my layouts, but rarely is a layout just about me. I should. I just don’t usually think to do it.

When the kids were younger I rarely made it on a page (huge regret!!! I never asked exDH to take photos). Now that I mostly scrap my own activities, adventures and travels I am more mindful of getting in a shot or two. My kids are great at taking and sending me shots and SO and I are also getting better at making sure we get a selfie or two.

Not enough. For four years I did a Me album. The eighth day of every month I took a selfie. I then wrote down eight things I was thinking, feeling, doing. I loved that project. It’s fun to look back and see how much I changed. I need to get better about getting in more pictures! Love this idea - I have done a album of just Me but it is older stuff - this is for the present. I will start this for the 1st of the month - that being my birthday.
