It finally got me..... I blame the weiner dogs Middle DD and her boyfriend (they dont live with us) went to the weiner dog races at the race track. On the 23rd we were at a stag & doe for our niece - hugs & I sat beside her all night. The Monday I took her cold meds & a test. She tested positive. I tested all week long and was negative, and left for Reno on the 30th. On my flight home on the 2nd I was feeling "heavy" in my chest - but chalked it up to all the smoke in the casino. Tested negative. The 3rd I was pretty congested & felt a bad cold. Tested on the Thursday (4th) and positive. On the 7th DH tested positive. I'm testing negative today - yay! Still congested (ok I did just stick a giant q-tip up my nose lol) and coughing, but negative test. DH is still positive. Can we pass it back and forth? Should we be isolating from each other because I'm negative and he's not? Or am I in the clear because I just had it?

You should not need to isolate from DH. You will not be able to pass the same variant back and forth if you both had the same one.
I would also say you most likely did not get it from your daughter. Seems like too long from exposure to you getting sick. Average is about 5 days, and they are saying some of these newer variants are 2-3.
My guess is that first plane/airport. That is where I picked up mine last month.

Not sure about covid, but how was Reno and the cake show??? Reno and the cake show was amazing. I got to see people in person that I’ve only ever known through zoom. It was wonderful!

That is where I picked up mine last month. It’s hard to say. Flying from Canada masks are mandatory in the airport and on the plane. I was using an n95 as well. The casino we were at was a cesspool for sure. But I really felt it was too quick for symptoms to start showing up to have gotten it there. My DD was a week from exposure to symptoms, so that’s why I was figuring it was her. But it very well could have been Reno - although from what I hear anybody at the show who was positive after were people I had no contact with and already showing symptoms when I got there. With me, DH, now my oldest & youngest all having it since I tested positive, I find it fascinating that we all have the same strain and yet our symptoms/how it affects us is different!

I think you got it in Reno.
I find masks are mandatory on Canadian flights but many people take them off to eat / drink and the airports are maybe 50% compliance so I think the travel is far more likely. It comes out quicker than it used to.
But I think you’re in the clear since you just had it so don’t worry about being around dh. I think you’re probably in the clear for at least 2/3 months.
Paige.

The newest variant is very quick so agree you’re way more likely to have gotten in Reno than your daughter - hope you’re all on the mend!
