that you can pop a frozen chocolate chip cookie dough ball in a ramekin, microwave it for 30 seconds and enjoy a warm treat.

I had to look up what a ramekin was. I actually have those and didn't know they had a formal name. Enjoy your treat! Sounds very quick and easy, too easy.

Personally I would rather pop it into an air fryer/toaster oven. Just saying. đ (And Iâve been craving a chocolate chip cookie for a few weeks now but have been trying NOT to make any because DH will eat 90% of them, but shouldnât.)

For fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, I use the method of: Break off two or three squares of cookie dough from package. Place each square, on a piece of tin foil on the cookie sheet, bake in toaster oven. Eat warm cookies straight off the tin foil. Toss tin foil. Nothing to wash.

I would love to make cookies and have one or two each day. DH will demolish the entire batch within 24 hours so thereâs no point. Iâm intrigued by the idea of putting dough in the air fryer to bake, though. Then I could have my one or two. He doesnât care for raw dough.

Iâm intrigued by the idea of putting dough in the air fryer to bake, though. Then I could have my one or two. He doesnât care for raw dough. My air fryer has a bake setting like a toaster oven. I bought a set of little pans that fit in it so theoretically I could make 1-4 cookies in it without heating up the big oven. And OMG, I totally know what youâre saying about him eating the whole batch in just a few days. đł Chocolate chip cookies are his Kryptonite so Iâve been trying NOT to make any. He canât ever eat just one, and will keep at it until the tin is empty. I have this recipe that calls for making the cookies 4.5 ounces, but thatâs huge so I make them about half the size. He still eats two at a time. đ

Thatâs hilarious, but yes he would find them in a vegetable package because he regularly cooks dinner for the family. Heâd open up that bag of green beans or whatever and think, âWTF is this?â đ€ It would almost be worth doing just for the comedic effect! I have made cookie dough and have frozen it into portioned balls many times. Lately itâs been way too hot to even consider turning on the oven with the A/C running in the house. I have a pile of recipes printed out that I want to try but have been too unmotivated to make the effort with the weather like itâs been, plus not wanting to have a ton of extra cookies sitting around taunting him. Today is a little cooler though, so maybe. I could go for a really good cookie!

why are we wasting time cooking them... just eat it raw... yummmmmy!! lol I canât do it. Just canât. Once I made DD some edible cookie dough which has no eggs and calls for heat treating the raw flour to kill any potential bacteria. I couldnât even eat that. She said it tasted good, but the batch was so big we ended up throwing more than half of it away after it sat forever in the fridge. It didnât occur to me at the time, but I should have rolled it out and cut it into little cubes and froze it to add to ice cream as a mix-in.

Which reminds me, just yesterday on TikTok someone made a video saying you could go to Subway and ask to buy their cookie dough as is and they charged them $5 for a big bag!
Well this excited me..until I read the comments section. Everyone was calling their local Subway to ask for that same deal and not a single one would sell them the raw cookie dough for any price.
IDK if it was even true but they are all franchises so maybe just that one did it. All I know is there are going to be a whole lot of Subway stores getting calls for cookie dough!

Where do you buy frozen chocolate chip cookie dough? That sounds good! I have never heard of doing it that way either, you are not alone. I make it myself. I mix up the dough using my desired recipe, portion it into balls with a cookie scoop so theyâre all the same size, put them on a rimmed baking pan lined with a piece of parchment paper and freeze until solid. Once theyâre frozen they can be moved into a ziplock freezer bag and you can take them out individually to bake as needed. From frozen they usually need an additional 2-3 minutes of baking time but they come out just the same as if you mixed up the dough that day.
