I heard about this on NPR a few weeks ago and thought some of you may be interested... This company, OpenAI, is an AI (artificial intelligence) company that has created this system, DALL-E, that can create realistic images and art from a description of natural language. Debate on potential uses aside, I thought it would be something fun to help benefit scrapbooking, so I signed up to be part of testing it. That was maybe 2-3 weeks ago and I received a invite to create an account yesterday. Just got to playing around with it today. Here is the link if you want to check out or Join waitlist to try: openai.com/dall-e-2/I haven't tried the option of editing an uploaded photo/image yet. But I thought it may be useful for fun graphics and things to tell stories where maybe I didn't get the best photo. I generated this image by typing "a bald eagle flying above an american football stadium with fireworks sketch". At first I didn't have the word "sketch" and it was a weird photo merging, but typing sketch, drawing, art, or even a style like "van gogh style" will make it more artistic. labs.openai.com/s/qXL7bC2KzSYlHaoQDbhPmJaQJust looking thru the samples is funny.
