Oh my, another good show. "From Notre Dame to the NFL, Manti Te'o's future in football showed promise until a secret online relationship sent his life and career spiraling."
I kinda remember this when it happened, and all the jokes made. He really went through hard times because of this. And that catfish is a piece of shit for all Manti went through.

I think even if you are not a football fan, you would find this interesting.

I remember being absolutely invested in this story. I graduated from college in 2011 so I was still very much into watching college football when Manti was going through all of this. He also ended up on the San Diego Chargers in my hometown so I was doubly invested. I’m watching the second episode now and he just found out his dead girlfriend is still alive and I’m on the edge of my seat!

I just finished watching. I don’t remember hearing about this scandal at all, but I am so sad for him! Wow, what a story. I highly recommend this one, even if you are not a football fan.

i remember hearing about it and wondering how he really didn't have a clue. I think he was so busy with school, football, and being in a strange (to him) environment had something to do with it. Plus, I don't think catfishing was such a know thing back then. Like you said, it is so sad for him. I googled him and he is married with a child now. I hope he is happy and well.

I remember this story and I have the documentary on my list to watch. Did the catfisher ever get charged or anything? maybe it wasn't a crime back then.

Such a good show! I too think the person who catfished was despicable. Poor guy!
