I've been trying to decide if I should join Simple Scrapper so I can view their Trello class for scrapbook project organization but I thought I'd ask you all first if any of you have done that class and if you would recommend it. I did a search of the board and found that peachiceteas is using Trello so hopefully they can check in here (although I don't think they took the class). I found a couple other scrappy blogs that use Trello (ShannanM, Scraphappy, and one on The Digital Press) and it looks exactly like what I'm looking for. I did sign up for Victoria Marie's Project Done class and while I love her and her scrapbooking, this class is just not speaking to me but I'll trudge through it so hopefully I'll get my money's worth out of it.

I’ve never taken the Trello class, but the classes I have taken were worth the cost of membership. There are so many classes, workshops and other content as well.

Hey jediannie - sorry for the late reply. I haven't logged in here for a little while but have been viewing the board. Did you decide to go ahead with the class? I've taken an extended leave of absence from scrapbooking for a few months but just yesterday used my Trello board to organise my to-do's from the summer. I still love it and it really helps me brain dump in one place.I feel so much lighter knowing all my scrappy to-do's are recorded somewhere that I don't have to look at until I'm ready.

I am thinking of signing up because I'm intrigued by all of the resources offered with the membership. I have a Trello board but don't use it much. I really like the idea of the online magazine. I have enjoyed Jennifer Wilson's podcasts, and since I am probably going to stop one of my monthly SB subscriptions (since I have too much stuff), I think I can afford the month-to-month membership.

I've thought about joining for the Trello class too. Good to hear the other classes great so the value is there for the membership. Is there so much it's overwhelming though? I feel a little intimidated. Love the podcast.

Honestly scrappyem & others - I don't think you need to take a class for Trello. It's so easy to pick up on your own & there are loads of Youtube videos out there if you need a visual to help you along. You create groups, items within those groups where you can create to-do lists, and drag and drop them around. It's free to open an account and use - I'd really encourage anyone to make an account and have a play.

peachiceteas Oooh thank you! I didn't realize they had a free version. Good idea to watch a couple of YouTube videos to give it a go. Thanks!

I haven't taken the class yet and am still contemplating it. I've played a little bit with the free version of Trello and I do like it so far.

I cannot recommend the Simple Scrapper membership more highly. I've been part of the community for years and it's really a great, supportive place. And I've found out that I get as much out of the membership as I put in. There are so many resources available but Jennifer and her team make it easy to participate in the way that makes the most sense for you. I began using Trello after taking her class and I found it useful to look at Trello from a memory-keeping perspective. It's true that Trello isn't difficult and can be used pretty easily without the class but I liked the class as it was focused on ways to use it to enhance your memory-keeping life.

I'll also add that I very actively use Trello for my memory-keeping & planning and I wrote a blog post for The Digital Press a while back about how I use it (which I think is referred to above - www.thedigitalpress.co/tutorial-tuesday-get-organized-with-trello/). However, I have expanded my use quite a bit since then as I've jumped in and made updates to make it work for me. If anyone has any questions or wants to see more, please let me know!

I am so happy to see this recommendation! I just subscribed, partly because I felt that I needed to give something back since I've gotten so much out of the free podcasts. I was really looking forward to the online magazine, and I have not been disappointed. Right now, I am feeling a little overwhelmed with all of the resources, but I'll acquaint myself with them slowly. I'm going to take the Trello class even though my brain seems to be more geared towards something like Notion. I have multiple projects right now, and I'm trying to figure out how I should keep track of them. Right now they are in a little notebook I picked up at Target. I was thrilled to see that the sketches on the site also link you to the matching layered templates! That in itself is worth the price of the subscription. My subscription is month-to-month right now, and I am planning to stick with it for three months and then decide what to do after that.

I have subscribed to Simple Scrapper for a long time, but since my scrapbooking has been on the back burner for a few years, I haven’t participated. Thanks for all of the good info above. It seems like a good place to jumpstart when I go back to scrapping, hopefully right after the holidays.

Thanks for reminding me to use Trello. I signed up for the free version a few years ago and totally forgot about it. I'll check out Simple Scrapper, too - I haven't listened to her podcast, so I'm excited to have something crafty to listen to.

I downloaded Trello today and plan on using it consistently for November to see how I like it. Didn't take the class, but if I was a member of Simple Scrapping I would.

I haven't listened to her podcast, so I'm excited to have something crafty to listen to. It's the best scrapbook podcast IMO. The production quality is great, the content has always been interesting and she rarely goes off on a tangent or "fangirls" like other podcasts I've listened to. I also like the Crafty Ass Female, Kristin does a good job as well.
