How many of you guys read on a Kindle? I got a Paperwhite for Mother's Day and I've gotta say, I LOVED having it on vacation! My favorite aspect of being stuck in the woods was probably the fact that I had a tiny little Kindle loaded with new reading material! Love my Kindle! Also, I would love some new goodreads friends if anyone is interested. This is me link

Fresh off vacation (technically still on it, as I'm in the Houston airport waiting for my connecting flight home), and have two complete and one partial books to report on... I finished the latest Outlander book, Written in My Own Heart's Blood. Gave it 4/5 stars on Goodreads. It took me a while to get into it, as it usually does with her books. SO much detail! But once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. Now the wait begins until the next one... <Sigh...> Blew through One Lavender Ribbon by Heather Burch. Blew through it and cried a lot. Touching story about multiple generations, finding/losing love, etc. 4/5 stars as well. I just started His Last Letter: Elizabeth and the Earl of Leicester by Jeane Westin while on the plane to Houston. It's fulfilling my desire for some historical fiction. Too early to tell how it'll be. Happy reading, everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am finished The Silkworm by the aka of JK Rowling & The One by Kiera Cass (the selection series final book) this week and enjoyed them both. Now I am reading For All Time by Jude Deveraux.

I'm still reading All the Light We Cannot See. It is good and is keeping my interest, it's just that I don't have much reading time this week. Maybe next week I'll have something new to report

I'm reading The Husband's Secret, and Shaman (Noah Gordon). One is a paper book at home, and the other is on my Kindle for when I'm out and about. That is, when I'm at lunch at work, LOL.
I just finished Written In My Own Heart's Blood, (an Outlander novel) and I'm already in withdrawal from it, because I also know it will be years before the next one comes out.

"Written With my Own Heart's Blood" by Diana Gabaldon #8 of the Outlander Series. I've been waiting a long time for it and it's been worth the wait. Before that I read "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand. I'm not a generally a fan of non-fiction but I thought it was one of the best books I've ever read.

I have got to stop reading this thread-I want sooo many of these books, now, and I already have a big stack that I haven't read, yet. My MIL just loaned me Natchez Burning.
I also have the following books I plan on taking with me on vacation: The Arabs by David Lamb-my sister knows the author and recommends it for learning about the history of the Arab world.
Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts This is the description from Amazon: So begins this epic, mesmerizing first novel set in the underworld of contemporary Bombay. Shantaram is narrated by Lin, an escaped convict with a false passport who flees maximum security prison in Australia for the teeming streets of a city where he can disappear.
Accompanied by his guide and faithful friend, Prabaker, the two enter Bombay's hidden society of beggars and gangsters, prostitutes and holy men, soldiers and actors, and Indians and exiles from other countries, who seek in this remarkable place what they cannot find elsewhere.
I believe somebody on 2Peas mentioned it a little while ago so I decided to check it out. It's a huge book, over 900 pages. I don't know why I didn't download it to my Kindle!

Just started Looking for Alaska by John Green (author of The Fault in our Stars). I'm sure others have already read this, is it good? Seems to have good reviews.

I am about 3/4 of the way through Crime and Punishment. I found a list put out by the BBC of the top 100 books you should read in your lifetime (or something similar) and am trying to read all of them. I'd read quite a number of them already, but I like having a list to complete.

I realized when I got the latest Diana Gabaldon, that for some reason I had never finished the previous one - so I am reading An Echo in the Bone and will then go on to the newest one.

I'm reading Cold Fear by Rick Mofina. It's a thriller. Parents go camping with their 10 year old daughter and she disappears. The parents are suspects in the daughter's death while a searchers look for the daughter/her body. I'm a little over half way through it and haven't figured out who did it/what happened.
