How's your scrap space on the neat scale? Mine is in between neat and organized and total hot mess. I like it clean, but struggle to keep it that way. My desk usually has some stuff spread across it and the floor has piles on occasion. . I do clean up between projects and put everything away. My room does serve as dual purpose, I workout in it and DH puts things in it he doesn't want to put away. LOL.I think one thing that helps the most with attempting to keep it tidy is setting space limits on supplies. I allow myself what fits in the designated space and that's it. I'm currently at capacity on paper so I need to start using some up. Do you have anything that helps you keep your area under control?

Do you have anything that helps you keep your area under control? I have dogs that think too much paper in this room is a terrible idea and if they see paper on the floor it apparently begs to be peed on. So, I *guess* they help me keep my floor clean?? For real though, I checked hot mess. In fact, I was googling youtube videos for craft room clean up inspiration. Not organizing, just cleaning. I am having trouble getting started, although one said to get everything out of the room that is not supposed to be in there, so that made me get rid of my coffee mug collection and some other random crap that just made its way in here. Now I need to tackle the desk. Yikes!!!

I have a place for most things, but the ones I have been using are definitely not in their place. I can usually find everything. Sometimes the hardest thing to find is the tool I just set down or something I decided a perfect place for in my last organizing binge LOL.
I do tend to take time to put stuff away when I am moving on to a different theme. But sometimes stuff for scrapping several similar themes are out at the same time.

Mostly neat and organized however I am forever tweaking my storage solutions. Also I try to clean up after every session otherwise it can get really out of hand. I am lucky to have a nice big room but it has 8 windows and no closet so I can’t stash a bunch of stuff in a closet and close the door and because of all the windows I can’t go high in shelving on most of the walls. It is always a work in progress (much like a number of projects I started and never finished 😂) but I love it!

My scrap stash is decently organized but the room itself is a hot mess. It's small and multipurpose. It catches the overflow from our small kitchen and non existent pantry plus it's set up for me to WFH as well.

My room was always relatively neat and tidy, but I was revamping it last summer and suggested to my DS24 that I could add in a desk and storage for all of our Lego too. We’re both committed AFOLs (Adult Fans of Lego 😊) and it seemed like a good idea at the time. The problem is I had forgotten how incredibly untidy DS is! He has severe ADHD and organisation is not his strong point! 😄

Umm, not...but I know where most things are...except of course what I want to use.
Part of my problem is not just that I have too much stuff, but that I can remember that at one point I had _____, but I can't remember if I used it or where it would be if I didn't use it (specifically embellishments or maybe a random stamp within a stamp set).

I try to keep it neat, generally I tidy up after I finish a project. I recently purchased some new items that I need to put away, but I try to keep the actual crafting desk cleared off so I can start a new project. While I'm in the middle of a project I will have items all around my work area in piles - paper, glue, stickers, scissors, ink etc. There's always something lost under a pile....

I wish it was neater. I try to organize it and then buy something else and it gets to be a mess! Also, I don't only scrapbook in this area.

I keep mine clean and tidy - I clean up after each project (or each session if I'm using the same materials for multiple cards or layouts) - throw back to when I scrapped on the kitchen table and had to have it clear for us to eat three times a day. Plus messes/clutter makes me unmotivated and grumpy.
A place for everything and everything in its place - plus I go through my stuff (crafty or otherwise) at least once but often twice a year to re-organise and purge.
My room is multi-purpose BUT other than the cats, I'm the only user of it (DH and the kids will come in and sit on the recliner and chat but they don't typically leave stuff in here). My computer desk tends to get a bit cluttered but I take time every week to clear it off and deal with all the stuff that needs reading/shredding/scanning/answering/paying/filing/putting away/throwing out. That was actually today's project.
The other spot that gets a bit cluttered is the top of my smaller cubes (I have three 2x3 cubes in a rectangle back to back) - I currently have two albums open on top.

My scrappy space is small, so I have to keep it clean or else I won't have any workspace to create. Also, my space is right next to front door, so I try to keep it tidy in case friends or family show up.

I voted neat & organized but the reality is I often have piles and random things on my scrappy desk that I just need to put away. Right now, there is an Iris box full of layouts from the retreat I went to in July that I need to finish the journaling for before I put them in albums. I also have the SCT stamp kit thing and a small crate of cards I've made that I need to put somewhere.
I'm good about keeping things off the floor though and for the most part, everything has a home. I also tend to clean & put things away between projects.
I also work from home in the same room at a separate desk so I don't like to let things get too out of control. I feel better when the room is picked up.

I always clean as I go, so my space stays neat & organized. Not only is it easy to do as a standing scrapper, but also it's a stall tactic for time to consider choices in the next step of my layout process since I'm both creatively-challenged & indecisive!

I am both. Very organized. Everything has is place where it is stored or resides.
I always have work in progress.....on cafeteria style trays, which are on a rolling cart.
I have stuff, product, photos, etc...on cafeteria trays on a multi-shelf book case or on the rolling cart. Product I might want to use, on the "work in progress" layouts. Photos that have been printed, and are in the process of being organized chronologically. Product that needs to be put away. Product that needs to be fussy cut. Alphabet letters spread out alphabetized, to be made into words.
In general, it's organized and I know what is what.....and each pile is there for a reason.

I like mine clean, but if its clean then it means I am not being crafty. If I am in a good crafty place, then my desk and area are a hot mess!

It's mostly tidy. I'd say in less than 5 minutes it could be neat as a pin. There are just a few things on my desk that don't belong there and some pictures and supplies for the next few layouts I'll be working on.

Neat and organized.
When it use, it is disheveled but then I clean up and out everything back where it goes.
I share the space with dd who uses my large all in one pc for her college classes. She likes my big screen.

The storage is neat and organized and the space is generally ok because it needs to be - it’s in the middle of the house and visible from almost everywhere. But if I’m working on anything there will be piles and the more I’m working the messier the surfaces get. But it’s never too far from neat and tidy. Just give me 5-10 minutes to re-pile and neaten.

I have a lot of space, so keeping it tidy isn't too hard. When I craft, my desk is pretty messy, but then I tidy up between pages.

I am a papercrafter, I don't have to be neat. You'll notice, those picture perfect studios don't have ink stains, chipped or dirty containers, or any sign of productivity.

Mine is mostly neat and tidy. I have some supplies out on my desk that I'd love to get put into drawers or out of sight but I have just a little too much stuff for that right now. I always find sketchtember is good for making a noticeable dent in some of my supplies and I'm hoping this year is no different. I always keep my trimmer/adhesive/scissors/gold mist out but I've certainly got some small piles also going on.

It would be a struggle to keep it neat constantly. I wish mine had a door! Sometimes my husband likes to "help" me clean my room by completely reorganizing anything in ROYGBIV color order... he thinks it is funny! Also, sometimes my dog tries to eat the scrap paper that falls on the floor. I want a door to keep my family out, not to hide a mess, haha!

Mine is generally neat and tidy, except my actual work area when I am scrapping. I do put everything away after finishing a set of photos, so I start neat and tidy again.

Oh @cannmon, so very NOT neat. I think part of the reason is that my work surface is not large enough. I try to straighten up between work sessions but it only takes a few minutes for things to disappear under scraps of paper or photos or notes. But it could be that I'm just plain 'ol messy. jenr, no judging here.

It is a complete and utter disaster. You can hardly walk in there because of the huge mount of product on the floor. I need to buy some furniture to help me organize but I'm not willing to spend the money on that yet.
