I love September, if only it would cool off. I feel awful complaining about mid 80s when the west is sweltering! But, September to me is opening the windows and enjoying a cool breeze.
I have had non-stop interruptions when I try to get to my scrapping area lately. I have the weekend free, so I am going to take Saturday as an all day scrapbook day.
Anyone else have scrappy plans for the weekend?

I hope to be able to do some scrapping on Saturday, if I can resist the lure of DH pulling me into NCAA football world until evening, LOL. I do love watching college football, and both of our teams (FL Gators for DH and OSU Buckeyes for me) are playing prime-time/night games so I want to get some scrapping done early in the day so we can watch both our teams together, not watch other random SEC and Big 10 games throughout the rest of the day.
Also planning to do some scrapping on Sunday and/or Monday. One chunk of time on Sunday or Monday will have to be dedicated to working on my scrap room closet re-org. DH is going to help me pull everything out of it, set up a new drawer tower to put in place so I can assess what else I need to go into that space - I'm thinking a smallish Kallax-style unit, but need to assess with the closet mostly empty. My new drawer tower is taller and narrower, with smaller drawers (but more of them) than the short, wide one that it's replacing. The drawers in the old one are too large so they become a dumping ground for everything I don't otherwise have a place for and they are currently a disorganized mess.
I had a not-very-productive August scrapping wise, and hope to turn that around in September. I'm already on a roll, having completed one LO so far for yesterday's first Sketchtember challenge.

I'm definitely planning to scrap this weekend. I got a head start yesterday and have finished up a layout today (it just needed journalling) - it's not my favourite layout ever but the photos have been sitting on my desk for way too long as I was struggling to figure out a colour scheme, and then embellishments....well..it's done and it was the last July 2019 layout so I got to cross that off my list.
Hoping to make some good progress on finishing up May and June 2019 this weekend. I also got 2022 photos in the mail today for the family album and also for the older kids' album so need to sort those. And I would like to catch up on Sketchtember before I fall further behind.

I have a day crop on Friday. I've spent yesterday and today organizing photos into page protectors for future layouts.
The end of the month I have a 3 day scrap retreat locally. I'm headed to the Jersey Shore with my mom on Sunday for a week. We always go but this may be the last year as my mom's health is going downhill.
My life is a bit busier than I like but I guess I should be grateful to have so much going on.

It looks so fun.

I was able to make 7 Halloween cards this weekend. It was easier to get to my craft space as we stayed in most of the day due to the 108-111° weather.
Now that it's the school week, I don't have as much time. Dd uses my space for her college classes and I am running errands. Ds is also half day due to the heat (triggers seizures as he can not regulate his body temp correctly).
Friday though he may be back to full day (looks like it will *only* be 98°) and dd only has to check in for 1 class that day.

I have survived the past five weeks. Attagirl me!! Lol Our oldest son was married 4 hours away for just the parents. We put our house up for sale and started to pack. (Oh my, the scrapping stuff ) Then off to Greece for another wedding celebration for the oldest son. No, we are not Greek, but after visiting I want to be! It was lovely and SO MANY PICTURES! (Our new DIL is a wedding photographer herself!) We sold the house, had the closing and moved. Our youngest son was married this past weekend, locally! So, my scrapping has been limited the past several months. And boy, have I missed it! A friend and I are going to a weekend crop in 2.5 weeks! Now, I just need to find my pictures and page kits. Literally, every room here has boxes in it and scrapping stuff. Just need to start hunting. It will be like shopping all over again!

It was a bit like shopping to unpack all my scrapbooking stuff. I decided my DD was right, I'm a hoarder, LOL.

Yikes, that is a lot! Yikes, indeed, ss! That is a LOT of life goin on in 5 weeks! I was busy with garden and dgk's, but nothing like that!
I am just getting back into scrapping after a busy couple of weeks doing other things. Finished a page this morning for one of the SKETCHtember challenges, and have a rough kit put together for a two pager to put together this afternoon during gramma's virtual crop.
I was laughing looking at the pic I used this morning and the ones I will be using this afternoon. One has brothers eating popsicles and the other cousins eating watermelon. I have to use my icy treats stickers and watermelon pp somehow! Don't want to be labeled as a hoarder, now, do I?
Oh, and I bribed them with treats to get them to re-do something else I wanted more photos of. I am sure it is perfect scrapping gramma's protocol to hand out treats just to get photos that work with your papers...

Wow ss that's quite the 5 weeks! I finally finished a layout on my desk, had to tell myself not to overthink it 😜 and I started printing out photos to catch up on my PL album. I have about half of them done and plan to print out the other half today. Then I go back and put in the cards/journalling. I tend to work best by batch process. As I was flipping though my 2022 album I just was struck by how much I love the pocket page process. I do my PL weekly and I love the completed albums. I realized a few months ago that I regret skipping the 2019 album. I'm thinking that I'd like to go back and print out the photos and complete it now. The only thing I need to figure out is if I do it digital or just print the photos and finish up the album myself. If I just print I can use up a lot of the PL supplies that I have, but it's going to cost me $100 to print out a year's worth of pictures. But realistically it will cost me almost as much to do a digital album without the benefit of using supplies up. Ugh! I hate when I overthink everything!

I had my first scrapbook weekend with a friend at my new house. It was so fun! It reminded me how much I miss going to crops. So glad you got to do this, and that you feel invigorated by it! Last week I registered for the LSS 3-day crop last weekend in October. I don't enjoy the packing and unpacking, hauling stuff there and then back, but I love the energy I get from scrapping with friends, seeing what others are doing, dedicating 3 days just to this craft. No use telling me to make kits and reduce what I decide to take: I know me and I know I love variety and options in topics and supplies and techniques. I don't QUITE take everything but the kitchen sink, but...

it's been really hard to work on anything scrappy since the start of the month because of that heat wave we've had for the past couple of weeks. i finally went into my room yesterday to do some organizing and to pick up where i left off on my halloween junk journal.
on a hoarder's note, i stumbled upon HL's clearance of their scrapbook section and walked away with some great items. lots of new sprays and ink pads. now if the weather just cooperates, maybe i can start using some of them.

I scrapbooked yesterday while my grandson played Xbox in the family room. My area is an L off the family room, so we were closed enough to chat a little. I loved it!

So cool, mikklynn, that you could each do what you enjoyed and still be together. Today I am investing $$ into scrapbooking. I just ordered a fall album and some page protectors from Amazon. Off to the LSS to scrap all day while my vehicle is in the shop. I won't come out of there without laying down some plastic... But the things I pick up will be way more fun than binders and dividers !

That is one thing I miss now I have a craft room - I scrapped in the family room at the last house and I was always in the middle of things. Here...not so much although with it being off the foyer w/o a door and now I have a comfy chair in here, DD wanders in a bit more. Today I am investing $$ into scrapbooking not fun but necessary on a hoarder's note, i stumbled upon HL's clearance of their scrapbook section DH was in HL on Saturday and picked up several die sets on clearance for me
