Happy Saturday evening peas! I am responsible for Sunday sketches this month. I'm so glad to have sketchtember back to give me a push into creating again! Today's sketch: Scrapbook Layouts – Page 3 – Sit, Scrap, and Relax! by kirstendrew, on Flickr As always, my interpretation is very liberal: I changed the photo sizes, orientations, size of the banner pieces, added a scalloped circle to the middle, changed the location of the title... but the sketch truly guided every choice I made on this page! layout breath of fresh hair by kirstendrew, on Flickr My "twists" will all include INK. Today we are starting easy: ink edges! I used brown ink on most paper edges here, but I did not ink ephemera that had a white border. If you're playing with a quarterly team claim 5 points for using the sketch, one point for using the twist on any project, and a bonus of 2 points if you use the twist with this sketch.

Your kids and mine would get along wonderfully AussieMeg! I've never heard of BYO cup day, and my kids will want to know and investigate. 7-11 exists in Australia? Of all the places to make it's way around the globe. I love how you pulled the colour of his slurpee into the wonderful "thickers" of the title.

That looks fabulous wendy crowe! I love how you embraced the white space and added splatter. Your layer choices are just perfect to show off Goofy.

They have BYO Cup Day in Canada and the US too kitbop ! I only know that because when I was googling to get some more information for my journaling, I saw lots of info on the day in the US and Canada. In fact, it was BYO Cup Day in Canada back in May. And in the US a week or so ago. We've had 7 Eleven here for 45 years (I only know that because I googled that too!)

kitbop, I love your sketch and love the changes you made in it. It's still easy to see the sketch in it. I hope to work on this one early in the week. Thanks for hosting Sundays this month. AussieMeg, your version of the sketch is so cute. I'll get a better look in the gallery and leave you some love.

wendy crowe these are the instructions on how to post the photos/layouts in a thread: 1. Open your image in Flickr 2. On the bottom right of the screen there are 4 icons: pen (edit photo), right pointing arrow (share photo), down arrow (download photo), and shopping cart. 3. Click on the right pointing arrow to share the photo 4. A box will pop up with the following options: Share 1 photo to: Share Embed BBCode5. Select the tab that says BBCode 6. Highlight the text in the box that looks something like this: [ href="https://flic.kr/p/2nJxCsS" ] etc etc (it's a really long string of code) 7. CTRL C to copy 8. In your post you can then CTRL V to paste I just tried to paste your layout here, but it seems that you don't have all of the options in Step 4 above. It looks like you can only share to Facebook and Twitter and Pinterest etc. You don't have the Embed or the BBCode options. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's your privacy settings?

kitbop , AussieMeg , and wendy crowe , you each have love in the gallery. Your pages are terrific! seveerb , great job on the sketch. I love all your circles and travel icons. Beautiful clusters. I love the papers you chose for your layering behind the photos. The stenciling is a great touch. Great job. Legacy

seveerb Great background choice, I really like the mix of colours and patterns you've used and your clusters are just fab. I think I've caught everyone else in the gallery.

Thanks for the great sketch, kitbop. I would never have come up with this design with the photos at opposite corners. I added journaling later. 20220906_152152 by Mikk Lynn, on Flickr

Sketchtember 4 and 3 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr The left side of this 2 pager is for this sketch. The bottom picture is actually the thank you card we received after this wedding. Not really claiming twist points since I don't have ink, but I did draw lines across the two pages to tie them together.

seveerb - I just love how your background paper works into the whole design! Your clusters are wonderful - I especially like the triangles and flag at the bottom. mikklynn, wow, those greys pair perfectly with your photos, and I adore your title work, big and bold and interesting! scrappyrabbit - *very* cool way you used the sketch and added the extra photo to the top element instead of the banners. It works so very well as a design, and is a beautiful layout! Chinagirl828 - {screams} COOOOOOOL use of the tags! I will probably revisit this sketch (because I did find it a nice way to use 2 different size photos rather than the typical side by side page I do) and the tags are such a great idea. Love the photos.

So I've been going through my Hawaii photos and finding those that only have one or two that are needed to tell the story. This is one of those cases, doesn't really belong with the submarine photos! Much shorter supply list: Hot off the Press ancient papers (pearl & strip w/lace), My Mind's Eye Magnolia paper pad, VersaFine Deep Lagoon (inked edges!), Paper Studio banner punch, Paper Studio Pearl Swirl, Prima flowers, Pearl centers unknown. The title is actually the bag cut apart for just the logo! This was fun!
