Debating if I really want to keep the TN items in my box at SC. I have a few TN kits I have picked up at SC sales, mostly for the embellishments and stamps that were included. I thought they would be fun for some of our small trips as a mini album style. Honestly, I’ve pretty much ignored any inspiration or ideas for these and really don’t want to expand into them much, my time is spread thin enough between what I already do.
Curious if anyone has used these for mini albums or occasional projects? Do you put them into a cover/TN holder? I wonder about the thickness and small spine if you don’t, do they hold up okay on a shelf? I thought if I did a few for smaller trips, I could probably get a basket to keep them in. Or I do have 2 covers in my box rn too.
Appreciate any ideas to talk me in or out of these before midnight tonight 😂

I use notebooks of various sizes for my Daily Pages. I have them on a bookshelf held in place with a bookend and they seem fine. I haven’t noticed any warping or anything.

I break up TNs and put them in Life Crafted albums from Citrus Twist. I use them for documenting trips and travel exclusively.

Okay, this is very helpful! Love the look of those binders and that makes much more sense to me for storing them when they are completed. And using the cover for travel makes sense, which I possibly could see doing, since my attempts to fit in a little scrapbooking on some trips was a little much. Thanks for sharing this link, looks like a lot of fun things to check out! If I kept these specifically for the small trips I had in mind, these may be a good fit.

I have a few in-progress TNs as they’re intended to be used, but I have used the majority of them by tearing them apart. I rip out the staples and cut the papers down for other projects.

Studio calico have a clear covered storage album (currently out of stock) that had the same internal set up as this one… if enough peas put them on their “notify me” list maybe they’ll order them in again? www.studiocalico.com/shop/traveler-s-notebook-storage-binderHaving stored half finished and completed tns in these I too highly recommend them/ this type of storage as it doesn’t matter how thick the tn gets as the elastic holds them in place, tns are easy to remove if you need to and the folders stack nicely on shelves 😁

Just as an FYI original sized citrus twist albums and page protectors are 4x8/tn sized not 3x8 so you don’t have to trim the pages at all (just cut tn in half on the seam)

I have two of mine in one of the little kraft binders joblackford linked. I tend to use them for trips and also for little stories that don't need a giant 12x12 layout, stories I otherwise would probably not tell. I made one once for a design team I was on and I have that one stored in one of the SC clear-ish binders. I have a bunch of the decorative covers (with the strings) that I also plan to use. I pick them up on sale here and there. For me, I like to put a few together that sort of "go," like a few trips in one, etc. I make a lumpy bumpy little TN so only two max will fit in the kraft binder, maybe 3 in the clear SC one. Here's a photo of one from a trip to California just to throw a visual in. It was in progress and documented this fantastic lemon tree at one of the places we stayed, which was the closest house to the Hollywood sign. I happened to be using a Cocoa Daisy TN kit to document this trip and it featured a lemon theme, so that was pretty handy and serendipitous. I have this one and an older one from a different California trip in the kraft binder mentioned above. 58793911529__A429C082-562A-4301-AE33-BC5AC4D24CA5 by Seanna., on Flickr One of the big reasons I started documenting a lot in TNs, besides the really great size canvas and the immediacy of just jotting down notes and throwing in little tickets and receipts and stuff, which I have always loved, is that I have a growing awareness of what will be left behind of what I create. I don't need a Hugh Hefner cavernous room full of scrapbooks. My life is not that big, and it would be overwhelming for my children. TNs? You could fit a hundred, two hundred even, in a box. I still do 12x12 but I also do this size. It's been great so far.

Thanks! I had seen these once before and could not for the life of me remember where lol! I ordered one and some other goodies to see if I like them as much as I think I will!

I really wanted to like TNs but after buying the SC TN kits for a year and making zero TN pages, I gave up on that idea. 😂
I sold all my TNs on eBay and kept the stamps and embellishments to use on my scrapbook pages.
