I am trying to make stickers for a preschool class i am teaching for a Bible study. I have Bible verses inside of shapes in pdf form. I want the cameo to cut the outside of the shapes. It is showing cut lines around the letters inside the shapes. Any ideas how I can fix it?

I think you need to tweak the settings of the "trace" function, by moving the sliders labelled "high pass" and so on....I never really know what I'm doing there, but simply fiddle with the settings until each whole shape is a solid fill of bright yellow. Have a look here www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2018/03/tracing-in-silhouette-studio-v4-for.html and if this page doesn't quite fit what you need, the whole Silhouette School website is a mine of great information, so it's worth doing a further search. Good luck!

There are at least two ways to do this that I can think of, but whether you use the trace feature depends on if you want the outline to follow the curve of the letters, or just have the sticker be a basic shape like a rounded rectangle.
For the rounded rectangle, all you should need to do is draw the shape around each verse and add your registration marks.
If you want the cut file to sort of follow the curve of the letters, then you started right. You just need an extra step or two. After you do the trace, offset and weld the letters. Once you have the outline the size you want, add the registration marks.
You can adjust the amount you offset before welding them. If it’s too bumpy, like bubbles stuck together, you can remove points after offsetting and smooth them out.

Update-I was totally overthinking this. I ended up grouping the verse/letters inside the shape to be one object and then just cutting on the outside edge of the shape.

I’m glad you were able to figure out a solution.

But, when I do a print and cut like this, I just retrace/do a second trace of the shape that I want to cut, but chose the “outline/outer edge” option. (I don’t remember exactly what it’s called.)
