Hi, I have searched and have not really found a previous thread that answered this (with my limited search ability) so thought I would ask. I am looking for a good/bright gold ink to stamp “100”s on black card stock. This is to use as a background for pictures for my grandmother’s 100th birthday.
I don’t want to have to emboss but would like something bright if possible. I have an old Brillance (?) ink pad that tried that isn’t really that bright or brilliant. 😄. I, unfortunately, also need it pretty quickly so places to purchase with quick shipping (getting it out the door) is appreciated also.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

We were talking about this in the Dec Daily thread, and this one was recommended. I can’t comment on how well it works, since I haven’t picked mine up yet. It is Delicata Gold, and you can get it from Amazon or Joann Fabrics relatively quickly. Hope this helps!

Can't recommend one, but can say to stay away from the Hero Arts one...it's pretty bad. (At least mine was)

I no longer keep metallic inks, since I use metallics infrequently & IMHO they never shine/sparkle well on dark cardstock. Rather, I prefer the results from stamping with either VersaMark (clear) or VersaFine Clair (in the same/similar color as the paper) & heat embossing with Ranger Super Fine Detail EP (& re-emboss for a more saturated color &/or smoother finish, if desired). All three products capture fine details, which IMHO is ideal especially for alphanumeric characters. Both VersaMark & VersaFine Clair, which is embossable for several minutes, allow you to create a quick embossed background - stamp the entire 12x12 background then emboss it all at once. VersaMark (pad, not cube), VersaFine Clair in Nocture/black, & gold Ranger Super Fine Detail EP are available in store (& included in regular weekly sales) at Hobby Lobby, if you have one locally to avoid waiting for shipping/delivery, as well as online at Hobby Lobby, Joann, etc. HTH.

Thank you for the information. I would typically heat emboss gold for dark paper but I just want to randomly stamp “100”s on quite a few sheets of black to cover a fairly large area, which will then have pictures on them. I was hoping for something visible but really did not want to go to the effort of embossing.

I have the Delicata ink in gold that was recommended (I've actually got it in a mini cube set with 3 other metallic colours) and I can definitely recommend it. The colour is just beautiful, I've owned the ink pad for years, I used it recently and it still works just as well as when I bought it.
