Happy Sunday Peas! I'm sorry this is a little late this morning - I had to photograph my layout (procrastinate much?) and then I couldn't find the dang sketch! Had to search a bunch of hard drives to find where I had downloaded it The sketch I liked for the use of frames, the ability to choose scraps, and that the number of photos could be flexible. sketch sketches in thyme by kirstendrew, on Flickr My interpretation of the sketch uses: -ancient Maggie Holmes fabric frames -washi by 49th and market at top and bottom, and also to create the journaling square -scraps from my bin, all very old pps -old maggie holmes stickers -memory box alphabet dies for the title -woodgrain background STAMP - kraft ink on white cardstock - to create the piece under the title and under the journaling -STAMPED mini-tile alphabets, brown on my woodgrain stamped paper - to read "a cautionary tale" (stamps by The Stamp Market) layout kates date by kirstendrew, on Flickr The "twist" today is to use STAMPS on your layout 1) make a background paper/stamp in the background or 2) use an alphabet stamp somewhere on your page. If you're playing with a quarterly team claim 5 points for using the sketch, one point for using the twist on any project, and a bonus of 2 points if you use the twist with this sketch.

Oh poop, it's nearly midnight Sunday here, and as much as I'd love to stay up and play with this fabulous sketch, I have to get up for work tomorrow, so it nigh nigh time for me! I should have a bit of time before work tomorrow to make a start on it.
I love your take on the sketch. And I love the fun stories you always scrap.

Thanks, kitbop. An interesting sketch and a fun interpretation. There is love in the Gallery. I have lost my share of things in this room and on my computer. So glad you found the sketch!

Ooooh, now I want to scraplift your page Chinagirl828 , I love it! Here is my page: ETA: Ooops, that rainbow isn't supposed to be there! I plonked it down and had meant to delete it, but forgot. And now I can't be bothered re-opening the file, deleting it, then uploading to Flickr again.

Oh my, Chinagirl828, how you framed the kitty is SOOOO artistic! I think that's why I admire your scrapbooking so - you take it to a different level, you have an eye for placement like that. AussieMeg - first, the title - stealing that! Always struggle with birthday titles and this is awesome. Also, love those balloons and the starry background. not sure How I could replicate that but the stars are gorgeous. LOL about the rainbow! I've done that but have less excuse since it's actually paper! mikklynn - I love how you used the cut apart elements to let them really play a role on the page - it's always a struggle for me to use those pieces that I love without making the page feel overwhelmed by it - I think having the 3 cut apart elements grouped like this lets them cancel each other out but still be fully visible? Does that make sense?

mikklynn , I LOVE your hockey camp LO! I am going to be needing lots of ideas for scrapping hockey again this upcoming season, so I love to see others' ways to getting those stories onto pages.
Here is mine. Had fun playing with frames and stuff from my SCHOOL bin. I really wanted to play with some border stickers, but for once in my life I decided enough was enough LOL.

kitbop, you have the cutest, most dramatic DD. I just love her and don't even know her. Thanks for posting and hosting this sketch. I left love in the gallery. Chinagirl828, AussieMeg, @mikklyn and grammadee, you have love left in the gallery. You have all followed the sketch so well. I struggle with sketches that have small photos because I don't print at home and usually just have 4x6 prints. This doesn't look a lot like the sketch, but it was definitely inspired by it. I used a little toy car to make inked tire tracks across the green cardstock for mounting the photos. It doesn't show much because I hadto keep cutting it smaller to fit my smaller canvas. Sometimes I wish I scrapped 12x12...but not enough to switch. Drivers Exam Passed

Most of my prints are 4x6 unless I can rope my mom into printing from her computer and printer. So I LOVE what you did with this one and will use it for my own inspiration. And the toy truck tracks … genius!!

I'm another one who prints almost exclusively 4x6 - title is stamped for the twist

I rotated the sketch, I hope you can still see the sketch inspiration in this layout. It depicts just a random day hanging out with my cousin's kids... my husband said the storyline in this page is confusing because I made the pic of my pup more prominent. LOL!
