Mixed media paper --- Question
What kind of plain white paper, is best to use with the Tim Holtz Mixed Media crayons, or a similar type products? I need something that doesn't leak through to the other side, if I use the crayon.....then smudge, mist it, sponge it with water, etc....
I looked in the art section of my local craft store, but there are different types and choices. What do the Peas recommend?
Thank you in advance.

Yes, watercolor paper. Mixed media paper will also work, but it gives different results. I think you'll be happier with the wc paper.

If you are using the Tim Holtz Products, I would purchase the Tim Holtz Mixed Media Stock, as well as other surfaces in his line. The do work the very best with his products.

I like Vicki Boutin's foundation paper. If I'm going to be using a lot of water then I always gesso first.

Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock is my favorite. It's a really nice white, not yellowish and it takes water well.
ETA: And there is no texture like regular watercolor paper.
