Happy Tuesday from the West Coast! Tuesdays sketches in Sketchtember will focus on shapes - next up is HEARTS. Hearts can be used as a way to show love for people, places, things and so much more! I'm using another fun sketch featuring hearts from Paper Issues: TWIST BONUS: The twist for this sketch - use a punch or die! I used a heart punch to cut out the paper hearts. If you're on a Q3 Team - here are your points: 5 points for completing the sketch 1 point for using the twist on ANY project you create 2 point bonus for using the sketch AND the twist on the same project (total of 8 points for the combo) Completion Bonus: finish all 30 sketches, with or without the twist, before end of day October 7th, for a bonus of 500 points! Anyone can participate in Sketchtember - I hope you will play along! tagging grammadee

Here is my take, Ryann. It gave me a way to feature the larger photo on the one page, so I could just collage alot of the others my ddil shared with me of their week at the cabin with their other gramma. life is better LAKESIDE by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I used some heart stickers, but most of them are punched with my Marvy Uchida punch. It sticks, and I have to step on it with my heel to make it cut all the way through, then coax its jaws to open and release the negative, but I still use it quite often instead of going to my nested heart dies.

I love your page, grammadee and I will draw on it for inspo when I go to do mine. I like how you made it a two pager. This sketch will work very nicely for my never ended wedding photos I need to scrap. Or a dog photo, or a photo of my nephew ☺️ Very versatile sketch!

What a fabulous layout! I like how you've nestled your journaling amongst the waves and the smattering of hearts on the opposing page to bring both sides together. This sketch will work very nicely for my never ended wedding photos I need to scrap. Or a dog photo, or a photo of my nephew ☺️ Very versatile sketch! Sounds like you've got lots of ways to take this sketch, lol.

Thanks for the fun sketch Ryann ! I had recently done a layout very similar to this sketch, so I changed mine up a bit. I used a Katie Pertiet template for this page:

Ryann, thank you for the sketch and for hosting this challenge. You have love in the gallery. Linda, that's a sweet photo of you with your kitty. This sketch works great for our size scrapping. AussieMeg and angel97701, you have love in the gallery. I changed my 8.5x11 to landscape to use this larger photo. I have ordered a photo of the boys in Tori's family and will do a Boys page next to this one. The Girls

So combined with sketch #16 so I could use the same paper. Great use of patterns! I like that you anchored the pops of color against a neutral background. Thanks for the fun sketch Ryann ! I had recently done a layout very similar to this sketch, so I changed mine up a bit. I used a Katie Pertiet template for this page: I love your take on the sketch, and such a cute template! I like that you've rainbow ordered the colors and added the stitching texture. Looks awesome! This was a fun sketch - thank you This is darling! I like that you have the photo offset with the mats on an angle. The hearts spaced out in your title is such a cute idea!! I changed my 8.5x11 to landscape to use this larger photo. I have ordered a photo of the boys in Tori's family and will do a Boys page next to this one. Another lovely layout. I really like the half/half style hearts and the smattering of florals around the page. Thank you for playing along!!

Here is mine! I love the way this turned out! Too fun! I like the stacked paper mat and the small embellishment clusters anchored on the hearts. Thank you for playing along!

I knew what I would end up doing with this page as soon as it was posted but it's taken me a while to actually make the page. Here's my version:
