I have been storing my solid cardstock in hanging folders designed for 12x12 papers. I have drawers in my current craft space that were outfitted for the hanging folders. I am trying to figure out the best way to pack up the folders for a move to a new home. I have been able to find anything at the big box and online crafting sites. I also couldn't find anything big enough at Staples.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You may want to check into a bankers box. They wouldn't have the height, although it's possible you can stack the file folders flat in one if they aren't too tall. If they worked, they are nice since they aren't too oversized, have handles and are sturdy overall since they are intended to be packed full of documents. And pretty easy to find at an office supply store and probably even Wal-mart.

I use 13 x 13 storage envelopes, for my products (stickers, paper, embellishments. I organize by theme, them color or pattern).
When I move, I use the bigger storage tubs-totes. I stand them up up in there, and pack them in kind of tight so the don't move around-fall back and forth. I think it took four or five totes to hold all my storage envelopes. It could work for your files as well.
I've had the same totes for years now. I think I got them on sale for $6.00 each, years ago. I've got 10 of them, I think. They stack together when not being used. I've used them a few times to move, as well as loaned them a couple times.
They are heavy when filled, so someone with the ability to lift heavier stuff, needs to do the lifting and moving.

I moved mine in a couple of big baskets. I just put them in my vehicle myself, rather than have the movers deal with it.

Personally I would just lay them flat (folders included) in a bankers box. Especially if you have a lot. Even a bankers box is going to get heavy if packed full, why would you want anything bigger? As mentioned above, the more compact size and handles will come in handy. I would even go as far as packing only half full and then place super light-weight items in along with it so space is not wasted.

Could you just use the drawer as a "box" and maybe Saran wrap it to keep it contained and clean?
