Last weekend I attended the Simple Stories ""Get Creative Event" along with 209 other scrapbookers. Simple Stories knocked it out of the park!
They don't plan to have another until 2024, but I highly recommend you sign up for it!
The amount of swag and product we received was unbelievable! We received a great goodie bag when we checked in. There were take and makes, (another goodie bag) six amazing classes that all included full lines of a different collection, door prizes, an early gift from Santa, plus a collection was given out at each crop in the evening. There were three crops and they treated us to a sundae bar, and a movie night buffet of popcorn, soft pretzles and cheese dip, caramel corn and licorice.
All in all, I brought home a stack about three feet high in free product and some incredible projects. The owners, Kevin and Amber are lovely people, as were my table mates from Arizona and Pennsylvania.
Did anyone else attend?

My question as well. And how did you get that 3' stack of goodies HOME? Oh, and the price for the event? I would need to add on a fair chunk of $$ for travel and accommodations, as well.

It was held in Layton UT, which is just north of Salt Lake City. Beautiful area!

Luckily my friend and I drove. They did have it all set up so you could ship your goodies home though. They told us the retail value of what we took home was over $1200. The event was $450. It was definitely more expensive than any other event I've been to, but afterwards, I felt like I got my monies worth.

Absolutely got my money's worth and then some. I loved this event and all the teachers. And I also really liked the FB group build-up to the actual event. I can't wait to go again!

I thought it was amazing as well. The room (split with a friend was $225 each for 4 nights), airfare for me was around $200 and the event was $450. I will definitely go again! Amber and Kevin are top notch!

Which groups were you all in? I was in the Design Divas group, and I had so much fun. The classes and the instructors were incredible. The event was very well done, and the location has great options for hotels and restaurants. Getting all my stuff home was a challenge, and I didn't even really buy anything from the on site store. The added weight to my luggage was 40 lbs! For each class, they gave us every single item from the collection being used. I came home with about 40 new rolls of washi tape. It was a little overwhelming. Thank you for the information on the retail value of the items, I hadn't heard that part. It was an expensive event, but for me it was a once in a lifetime chance, so I savored every minute of it.

Glad you had fun, too!

wow that sounds amazing! I'm curious to those of you that flew in, how did you get from the airport to the event? Looks like it's a 40 minute drive! Did you wind up having to rent cars on top of everything else?
I'd love to attend the next one, seems like it was worth every penny!

One used an Uber, the others arranged a shuttle through the airport. I hope you get to go to the next one, everything about it was amazing!

Boy that must have been spendy. And then they had to get another to go back, wow. Well, if there is a will there is a way. I actually wouldn't mind driving but the route from where I am in So Cal to Utah is just the worst drive, through Vegas. I hate that drive, it's horrendous through the desert and all those mountain ranges. But it would be nice not to hassle bringing back all that luggage on the plane. This thread has definitely put the thought in my head though, thanks!
