Well, scrappyrabbit took the last two Mondays on the move, taking us to an island in the sun and to the Big Apple. It's my turn this week, and I am taking us... back to school!
I put together this sketch based on a page I found by Erica Breslin on Shimelle's site. I tried my hand at some old school digi work--created my sketch in MS WORD!
Here is my take on it. This will be my September page in next year's family calendar
This Monday's travel related twist is to include some kind of MAP on your project. It could be map pp, a map from a place you have visited, any map related sticker or stamp or... (I included a globe on this back to school page.
Here is Erica's page for further inspiration. I am seeing GRIDS everywhere these days, and I liked the way this page was divided into 1/3-2/3 both vertically and horizontally. For your take, use the sketch, or do a scraplift of either my page or hers. Have fun!

Great choice grammadee! I had a very similar layout saved on my Pinterest board to scraplift. I am still traveling so I don’t know when I will be able to scrap again 😩 hopefully Friday or Saturday

Oh wow, I love the quadrant - but irregular size! Great choice grammadee! I also love the picture: I have good memories of University of Victoria (I went to UBC, but had a lot of friends at UVic!)

Great sketch! Do you want to know something funny? I saw that Erica Breslin layout a few weeks ago, and I have already made up a template for it! I just have to find a suitable photo and I will be finished in no time.

Love this, and have a map pocket card in mind for the twist!

Thanks for playing along, AussieMeg. There is love in the Gallery. angel97701, can't wait to see your take on this sketch. I don't know why I am so drawn to grids lately, considering that I seem completely unable to cut a straight line or glue anything down even close to square with anything else .

Thanks grammadee - love the asymetrical grid! No twist - I had a globe sticker but just couldn't make it work

grammadee, I love this sketch and know I will use it again. It works well for my size scrapping. You have love in the gallery. AussieMeg, I love the first photo on your page. So funny. You have love in the gallery. Linda, I love the paper you used for the 4 quadrants. That book paper is perfect for her (and your entire family)! I love that you journaled about her clothing and that she prefers to look more formal. That's something she will remember and laugh about years later. Sisters

This is such a sweet layout! I love the state embellishments and the coordinating title. Really sweet journaling

I'm still working my way through the last few sketches. This one worked so well for these birthday photos:
