I emailed Hero Arts customer service at 6:30 last night. At 10:20 this morning, I received an email confirming my replacement stamp and an email from customer service apologizing. I’m super impressed with the customer service and how quickly they got back to me!!! Original Post: I bought 2 stamps sets that arrived Friday. I cannot get the stamp to completely stamp the image. I’ve tried with my stamping platform, and by hand on a stamping mat and on the table. Pumpkin Bunch set LINK I’m so disappointed that I haven’t even tried the other set yet. have you had issues with their stamps?

I learned you need to rub the costing off from manufacturing. You can rub with your finger, use a basic pencil eraser (I use a white one), or stamp with staz-on ink the first time to help.

I have Hero Art stamps and they are great quality. Definitely try priming them, but you could also have just gotten a bad set if the priming doesn’t help.

Was just going to add that some of my fave stamps I own are Hero Arts-I love the layering octopus and my beehive background in particular and they stamp great. I also wash my new stamps with soap and water to remove the oily film some have.

Prime them by rubbing with a finger (no lotion on hands) or an eraser, and/or stamp them first with a sticky embossing ink like Versamark. Then stamp them off onto scrap cardstock several times. And check if the ink is covering well—what type is it? Last, just in case you haven’t stamped a lot, cardstock quality has a big effect.
If priming doesn’t work call customer service. Their stamps are high quality, but once in a while every company's stamps or dies will include a bad batch. They’re a respected, family owned business that stands behind their products, and btw, cares a lot about the community and has spearheaded fund raisers for different causes. Good peeps who will help you. I hope you post how it goes.

I use a white latex eraser to prime mine - just "erase" the whole stamping surface, then use a swiffer or microfiber cloth to get all the eraser bits off! My hero arts stamps are very good quality.

IMO, Hero Arts stamps stamp beautifully. I've never had an issue, even with big solid images.

Hero Arts and Altenew have some of the best-stamping stamps on the market. Def contact customer service if you continue to get poor results.

Hero Arts stamps are great quality. I've never had any issues and I'm sure they will make it right if you have defective stamps.

Thanks for all the replies. I haven’t prepped stamps before so I’m glad I asked the peas!
I tried prepping thus stamp after I had already tried the stamp several times trying to get a complete image. That hasn’t helped so I’m going to reach out to cs.

Thanks for all the replies. I haven’t prepped stamps before so I’m glad I asked the peas! I tried prepping thus stamp after I had already tried the stamp several times trying to get a complete image. That hasn’t helped so I’m going to reach out to cs. Is ink beading up or not covering an area or areas? Or is it that you can see/feel imperfections? Or something else? And if the ink is beading up or not sticking to an area, are you using a high quality ink? Just fyi, some new stamps need a lot of prepping/rubbing and maybe and even Versamark. But others don’t. Just depends on what schmutz is on it from manufacturing. Good luck!
