Here we are, time to finish the year off strong! As we prepare for the holiday season, let us be more organized and ready to enjoy the festivities!
This challenge is to encourage you to work towards a more organized crafting life, so that you can find what you purchased when you want to use it! My best rule of thumb is that it should not take more than three moves to get to what you want to use on your project.
If you are on a team for the team challenges you can claim 10 points for each hour spent. The time does not need to be consecutive. Bonus of 5 points for each before and after photo. The following tasks will count towards the crafting organization. Cleaning up after your latest crafting session (ie desk before, desk after) Some of us actually do this before we start our next project, if this is you take 5 points as part of our project count! Scrubbing or vacuuming the floor in your space. Dusting your space (I live in the desert next to a dirt road and own three German Shepherds, so this is a regular task. Organizing a supply or comletely re-doing your entire space. Sorting, editing, backing up, ordering, or printing photos. Setting up page kits for photos or organizing the ones that you get as a monthly subscription with photos so they are ready to scrap!
New one here, the time it takes to count up points for the challenges, that was a time killer for me this month almost 5 hours alone! Essentially anything that is related to crafting that needs to be done to "spark joy" so you can enjoy your hobby!
Scrapbook related Bonus, 20 points for each hour. Organize your new purchases into your collection. With the convention, Black Friday and possible scrappy gifts for the holidays, let's get them where they belong!
Non-Scrapbook related Bonus, 20 points for each hour! This must include sorting and purging . . . donating or throwing away items that no longer belong in your home. I've gone through most lists as to items we should consider. So this quarter I am leaving it up to you to pick your category, BUT BEFORE and AFTER are needed to claim your points!
Most of all feel the accomplishment of being more organized, it is an area that I know most of us struggle with in life, after all we are human!

I will start with the new purchases I've collected through-out 2022 maybe even some from 2021? I put things in the box that I want to put into my data base before I store them in their categories. I also bought speciality papers for places we have visited in the last year, and a bag of crafty stuff that was given to me. Organization Before by Neva Cole, on Flickr

My crafting supplies for my Hawaii album along with the patriotic stuff is now organized and ready to get into page kits. Spent about 3 hours on general cleanup and organization. I pulled my new pocket pages out of their packaging, and put them one keeper bag (recycled from HC) and put chipboard dividers labelled so I know which one to pull out of the bag. I also put together my Scrapbook Generations 4 x 6 class book and bound it with my Zutter. It is all nice and neat now.

Claiming another 3 hours for unpacking and organizing new purchases. Got my adhesives organized and the refills for my EZ Runner grands in a new location where they fit! Keep the American Crafts Cardstock in rainbow order, but are seperated from the other cardstock in that category as it is supposed to be easier to use withe the Brother Scan n Cut. Now to get the stamps and dies. Part of what I do with die is I keep a spread sheet, mostly for knowledge but also for insurance purposes. I have no idea how much $$$ I have in my craft room but at least an inventory of my room will help if we every need to make a claim.
I also discovered that the album I choose for Hawaii would be very difficult to take apart, so I choose a different one. I plan to do pocket pages for the USS Bowfin, ane the USS Missouri as I have so many photos. With a few traditional layouts thrown in. So another hour for that!

My mom is visiting and I spent 4 hours organizing in my craft room so she can sit at a desk that is cleared off!
Another 5 or so hours putting away the purchases from the last what-ever months (years) into my inventory data base (excel spread sheets) I keep for stamp/die sets, individual dies, etc. Just have the stamps that don't have matching dies and a few items from CKC, to put away.
Sorting and purging will be the goal for the next few months, IF we are going to sell our home . . . ?!!!
