Hey Peas! Welcome to October and to QUARTER 4! Challenges are beginning to drop into their thread. CARDtober is underway, and we are on the downslope, sliding through to the end of this year.
This is a busy season, as we try to wrap up the year’s projects, and create gifts and cards for the holidays. Please share your creations from this quarter in this thread. And if you see another Pea’s handiwork, show them some love here.

This is from Shimelle's stencil class - it's not my favourite layout...it's a bit busy and colourful - but I learnt some techniques that I'll use again - just perhaps in smaller doses and less colours.

Linda I think this LO has turned out beautifully! I understand you'd rather tame it down a little in the future but I find that the rainbow colours work great here because they add a touch of visual whimsy to a fun thematic "holiday" selfie. It makes that super unique, one of a kind Twosday theme pop. Love how you've connected the green with the from the top to the bottom by placing it along the path of the green map poster in the background of the selfie. So, so clever and perfect to keep guiding the eye. Also, those multi-patterned star stamps worked great here to give a little extra dimension and quirkiness to your rainbow scheme. I could totally see you using the stamp of the star with the five diamond-esque arms (ugh, can't find a better description of it right now but you used it in the red and purple sections) for a repeat pattern in winter. It's giving me Fair Isle star knit vibes!

My first-for-the-quarter was completed on Sept. 30 but photographed on Oct. 1. No-man's-land for the sharing thread! It uses the Sept. 3 sketch posted by AussieMeg. the title is: The "I just can't" vibe. I realized after I finished the layout that it could be misinterpreted without the emphasis on the phrase "I just can't". But it was too late to fix. layout: the "I just can't" vibe by kirstendrew, on Flickr The rainbow/clouds is a stamp from a set by Simon Says Stamp (I got the 6x8 set for 4.99 on clearance. I love their clearance!) I changed one of the smiley clouds into a sad cloud. And the title I layered 3 different colours of die cut.

Working on my huge backlog of sketchtember sketches and I am very happy with how this one turned out! I used lots of random embellishments, as well as a large piece of scrap paper and a 6x8 sheet of paper. Sketchtember 30 (Forever Friends) by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr

Those are both gorgeous scrappyrabbit- I love that you used a lighter shade of the dress colour - lets the photos pop and pulls the whole layout together. And the red roses with the neutrals atre stunning!

September Sheetload cards - Momenta lemon stamp, Ohuhu markers, all scraps except the green. White circle is punched, green is die cut. I'm really pleased with these. August sheetload cards - scraps of various Lego papers - the textured ones are Paper Wizard, the background might be Scrapbook Customs or Reminisce? Sentiments are Echo Park 6x6 pad "It's Your Birthday" - one card for DD15 whose birthday is tomorrow and the other for DS30 whose birthday is the 29th - they are both big into Lego.

Linda - Your cards are wonderful assortments - the lemon ones - the yellow and green and adorable little stamp are my favourites too. But the pumpkin ones are so cute and Halloweeny, and the lego ones - I remember you using that paper! Way to use it up! jeremysgirl - baby albums for the feel-goods! So adorable. wordyphotogbabe - wow those are so lushly layered. I am especially fond of the title work in "snap shots". Gonna leave gallery love for the others.

Thanks, MARIBETHR ! Linda , I love how you adapted Shimelle's stencil class, adding those punched circles. Genius. You are getting a great start on CARDtober! Those pumpkin cards are really cute and I love how you coordinated the embossing and the focal point on your butterfly card. Your take on the sketch has a classic look: love the bold colours. You COLOURED all those lemons? Wow! Look at you adding more techniques to your CAS style! And I may have to lift that idea of making Lego bd cards--I have quite a few builders in my family. love the fall cards too--great colours and patterns. And that page is a great take on that sketch. jeremysgirl it is good to see you playing with paper again. That baby album is getting a beautiful start. Love the soft colours and cute little images. Wow wow WOW, wordyphotogbabe. Your pages are so rich looking, such great photos, bold colours, fun designs and layers! That is a lovely photo of you. I love how you built up the layers behind it. The rich wood is the perfect background for the little guy in the big chair. And those are cool photos of your BIG guy: I think he loves to ham it up for your camera. Love the layers and texture, too with the huge title. kitbop , scrappyrabbit and nylene , there is love in the Gallery.

Linda I love this! I love the bright colors and it doesn't look busy to me, but I understand where you are coming from. I haven't done any of the stencil class yet, and now I'm really looking forward to it.

kitbop now I want to check out SSS clearance. I never shop there lol. Linda your cards are beautiful! I love the deep embossing and the colors of the sympathy card and those hedgehogs are adorable. I really like your takes on #sketch4 - I'm struggling with it, making it too hard I'm sure, but I really like all your takes on it. Your lemonheaded SLOC are awesome! Great job coloring. wordyphotogbabe your pages are gorgeous and so lush! It's the only way to describe them. I love the fall colors and all the layers on Fall Faves, and I think Snap Shots is my fave. I love that center element and all the mixed media touches. jeremysgirl super cute baby pages, I have some baby pages to scrap and never even gave Doodlebug a thought, but I really like this line your using. This album is going to be adorable. grammadee, nylene, kitbop, scrappyrabbit there is love in the gallery. Beautiful, beautiful work everyone! I'm so inspired!

kitbop now I want to check out SSS clearance. I never shop there lol. I follow a scrapbooker (prairie paper and ink) on facebook who is on the DT for SSS and posts quickly when they stock up their clearance. They are always very good deals (I've got a couple of distress oxide ink pads for .99) but you've gotta be quick. And of course there is always a lot of stuff that is useless too...like dies for stamp sets that aren't available! Here's the current stuff - mostly sold out - and I wish I had checked earlier because there are a couple of paper pads I'd have jumped on! www.simonsaysstamp.com/category/Shop-Stamps-and-Stamping-Sale
