As others have said, Ancestry has the largest database. I tested there and then have uploaded to a number of other sites including Family Tree DNA, My Heritage and Gedmatch.

I have been rethinking this. Other than knowing my actual background other than Greek and Italian, i don't need to reach out to possible unknown relatives. I have enough complications in my life. Thank you all for sharing your stories and time.

If you have any privacy concerns, none of them. can you give an example please? I appreciate it. You are unfairly opening your siblings and other relatives to privacy violations.

It really depends on the location you think you will get the most relatives from. Us Canada definitely ancestry. When it comes to europe some tests aren’t legal. Some tests are used more then others.

You are unfairly opening your siblings and other relatives to privacy violations. did you read my update a few posts up? One thing about Peas---it's often a good idea to also update your original post. A lot of people (myself included!) will not read an entire thread before answering the OP. Sometimes it's because we're trying to give an answer free of any influence from the answers already given. Sometimes it's because the thread has exceeded the first page, & that would be a lot to read at the moment. And sometimes people just don't think of checking for an update/forget to check. But no matter the reason, without an indication in the first post that there has been an update later, you will often find that people will continue to answer your original post.

did you read my update a few posts up? I honestly didn't see it. I don't know if my browser hadn't refreshed or if I just missed it.
