I'll be your Thursday host with color challenges. Your color challenge for CARDtober 6 is Black and White. We won't cry if you sneak in a bit of another color, but the overall effect should be black and white. The twist is to use a shiny or sparkly element.  |

jjpeapea, great card. I love black and white cards and look forward to this challenge. Thank you for hosting it. Is your sentiment cut from the paper so you see the negative space or is it a die cut on top of the black. Love the subtle color that comes with sparkly stars. Very pretty.

nylene, I cut the sentiment from vinyl and transferred it with Press-n-Seal. I just wanted the shiny slightly dimensional effect but it doesn't show up in the photo.

nylene , I cut the sentiment from vinyl and transferred it with Press-n-Seal. I just wanted the shiny slightly dimensional effect but it doesn't show up in the photo. Vinyl! I didn't even think of that. I need to remember that when my sentiment is small and hard to cut with cardstock. Thank you! |

Here are my cards to meet this challenge my shiny element for the twist is that the black is glossy black cardstock. This was fun, I had been wanting to use this stamp set, but didn't really want to color it, this challenge was a perfect way for me to use them as a black and white image.  |

linda your card is simple and beautiful. Very lovely. kmage what a wonderful Spooky scenery. Love all your beautiful blending. And those bats are adorable š MARIBETHR wow! So many awesome cards with the doggies. And such a great idea to take images and stamp it on white with black and on black with white. This could really create a wonderful set of cards to gift.

I love all the black and white cards! They are so varied and fun! It didnāt scan well (itās a bit fuzzy), but here is mine:  This was the easiest challenge so far for me. |

jjpeapea, thank you for this fun challenge. It has taken some thinking to figure out what I have to make a black and white card. Excellent challenge. I love your Rock It card. The sparkly, iridescent stars are a wonderful touch. I love what you have done with vinyl. I need to try that on cards. Very clever birthday card! Linda, you have such pretty black and white papers. I bought a paper pad of black and white several months back because I loved your patterned blacks. I think mine donāt have bright whites in the patterns so I havenāt used many. Are yours from a paper pad or do you just pick pretty individual black and white papers? Your double matted center flower is a beautiful little stamp. Totally pretty and touching card. Wow, kmage, your Halloween card is amazing. Those are the cutest stamps and you have made such an adorable scene. I love the āFangtasticā. Your inking around the moon is amazing. What black ink do you use for that? The recipient will be delighted with this Halloween card! MARIBETHR, your doggie cards are so cute. I love the clothing items on each of the doggies. You have love left in your gallery. azcrafty, your sympathy card is so elegant and tasteful. I have a hard time coming up with sympathy cards. I think I will scraplift this idea. I will watch more closely when I pick black and white again. |
