none of this crap is *new* news, though... we've known about it, and it was reported on, while it was happening. Nothing happened then, and nothing will happen now.

none of this crap is *new* news, though... we've known about it, and it was reported on, while it was happening. Nothing happened then, and nothing will happen now. Maybe not new, but there was a new report and new billing documents. A congressional committee reviewed them and sent a request to the Secret Service for a full accounting. Any maybe it can change going forward? Since we're stuck paying for Secret Service for him for life. Also this "The Committee continues to examine potential legislation to prevent presidential self-dealing and profiteering, as well as to curb conflicts of interest by ensuring that future presidents are prevented from exercising undue influence on Secret Service spending. ”www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/10/17/trump-secret-service-hotel-rates-records/But the reality was different, the records reveal. During Trump’s presidency, Secret Service supervisors frequently asked for special waivers to let the agency pay far more than the government-approved nightly rate for a hotel in D.C. — usually $195 to $240. Instead, they paid the higher costs the Trump Organization was charging.
In April 2017, when Eric Trump and his wife, Lara, were staying at the Trump International Hotel in D.C., the president’s company charged the Secret Service agents $1,160 — more than four times the government rate at the time — the records show.
In November 2017, when Donald Trump, Jr., stayed at the same hotel, the government was charged $1,185 a night for his security detail staying overnight at the hotel to protect him — almost six times the government rate, which varies based on time and location.

Since when did someone distancing themselves from someone else become a “nasty thing”?

More from the congressional committee www.nytimes.com/2022/10/17/us/politics/trump-hotels-secret-service.htmlThe committee released Secret Service records showing more than $1.4 million in payments by the department to Trump properties since Mr. Trump took office in 2017. The committee said that the accounting was incomplete, however, because it did not include payments to Mr. Trump’s foreign properties — where agents accompanied his family repeatedly — and because the records stopped in September 2021.
In 2020, The Washington Post reported that the government had spent more than $2.5 million at Trump properties during his presidency. The payments came from multiple agencies and were largely prompted by Mr. Trump’s travel.
The White House paid Mar-a-Lago more than $1,000 to cover 54 alcoholic drinks consumed by Trump aides in a private bar, as first reported by ProPublica.

More for Georgia to be proud of. NOT!! If this doesn't send people to the polls, nothing will.... Former President Donald Trump hasn't officially declared whether or not he's running for office in 2024, but he's already plotting his nominees to serve in his Cabinet. *** Rolling Stone reported that Trump is bragging to his close allies that he wants Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) as one of his secretaries. “Wouldn’t she be great?” Trump asked a confident earlier this year, at least two people confirmed to the magazine. *** It's unclear what he would appoint Greene to be as she has no real expertise in anything other than CrossFit. Greene would also face off against the U.S. Senate to approve her appointment, which likely wouldn't happen. However, Trump spent many of his appointments simply appointing people that would never be voted on. A slew of secretaries in Trump's Cabinet were "acting secretaries" or "acting assistant secretaries" of this or that. *** A second source said that over the past year Trump has been talking about Greene as someone who could be a senior official at the Justice Department. The source was confused, noting, “I don’t think she’s a lawyer."Greene isn't a lawyer but it's just the kind of move that Trump would think of as a way to thumb his nose at "the establishment" that frequently mandates that he hire someone qualified for positions. www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-trump-cabinet/

I wonder what’s causing this.
By the way, that Kari person running for governor in Arizona understands the state needs more water. Her plan is to pump water into the state from the Mississippi River….
