What are they go to do with this information? I mean, I know they are just trying to intimidate people, but it isn’t like you turn in your ballot in a color coded envelope showing if you voted R or D. Here in CT we can register to vote at the DMV. All of that is tied to my face, address, license plates to all my car including my kids etc. I get that, but people can get your license plate anywhere. Just to be clear, I'm not condoning this behavior. It is just clearly to intimidate and should be illegal.

Sure is great if you borrow a car and they photograph that one... Your friend, family or neighbor won't be too happy with that!
Or how about your work car.. oops..

That is good news, but over due. I don't know much about how big business works, but this seems way over due. They should have cut ties or at least denounced him publicly as soon as the tweets came out. They have been receiving a lot of public backlash, this just seems like they are bowing to that.

I have little to no use for Ye... Maybe they think they need to work with someone with mental illness, or at least that is what we say..
But there truly are lines that should not be passed. He did long ago!!

I have to admit this is where my mind went to. They are covering their faces now but not when asked to. Of course his nose is out. We no longer need masks in most places. It cracks me up when you see a person wearing one but then their nose is sticking out. It’s like why bother since it’s not required? If required then it bugs me but in a grocery store why?

She really is a bitch isn’t she.
But here’s the thing, it doesn’t matter if you are old or young or not planning on having children. It’s the idea that a small group of individuals can dictate to you what you do with your body. You don’t have to plan on having children to understand that is fundamentally wrong.

While it’s true people can write your license plate number down at anytime but you in most cases would not be aware of it.
But when you see armed masked thugs doing it at the same time they are taking your picture it has to mess with you. It would me.
And that is what they are counting on.

Not that I am a big purchaser of sport shoes I won't be buying Adidas either. Between them and Nike (and sadly Converse) I will have to look for other brands when shopping for athletic shoes and tops for the kids I buy for.

I'd be tempted to mouth off to the jerks, along the lines of, "Well, I'll take your picture, since what you're doing is illegal, while what I'm doing is not. Then, I'm calling the police." What are they going to do, shoot me? A pox on those idiots.

I believe I said this was a dumb idea.
“Liberal Democrats withdraw letter to Biden that urged him to rethink Ukraine strategy”
By Amy B Wang and Yasmeen Abutaleb October 25, 2022 at 12:51 p.m. EDT
“The Congressional Progressive Caucus has withdrawn a letter, signed by 30 House liberals and sent to the White House Monday, that urged President Biden to negotiate directly with Russia to bring an end to the war in Ukraine.
The withdrawal comes a day after the letter, led by Congressional Progressive Caucus chair Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), triggered fierce pushback from many Democrats, as well as from Ukrainian officials, who argued it was unrealistic to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
They also worried the letter could create more pressure on Biden as he tries to sustain domestic support for the war effort, at a time when the region is heading into a potentially difficult winter and Republicans are threatening to cut aid to Ukraine if they retake Congress.
On Tuesday, Jayapal said the letter had been drafted several months ago and “released by staff without vetting.” Ah the old blame it on someone else excuse.
“As Chair of the Caucus, I accept responsibility for this. Because of the timing, our message is being conflated by some as being equivalent to the recent statement by Republican Leader [Kevin] McCarthy threatening an end to aid to Ukraine if Republicans take over,” Jayapal said in a statement.
“The proximity of these statements created the unfortunate appearance that Democrats, who have strongly and unanimously supported and voted for every package of military, strategic, and economic assistance to the Ukrainian people, are somehow aligned with Republicans who seek to pull the plug on American support for President Zelensky and the Ukrainian forces.”
Several of the letter’s signatories also walked back their support for the letter, saying it was written months ago.
“Timing in diplomacy is everything,” Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-Calif.), one of the letter’s signatories, tweeted Tuesday. “I signed this letter on June 30, but a lot has changed since then. I wouldn’t sign it today.”
“We have to continue supporting Ukraine economically and militarily to give them the leverage they need to end this war.”
In the original letter to the White House, dated Oct. 24 and first reported by The Washington Post, the lawmakers called on Biden to pursue a “proactive diplomatic push, redoubling efforts to seek a realistic framework for a cease fire.”
The letter was signed by some of the best-known and most outspoken liberal Democrats in Congress, including Reps. Jamie Raskin (Md.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Cori Bush (Mo.), Ro Khanna (Calif.) and Ilhan Omar (Minn.).
For now, their position remains a minority in the Democratic Party, which has overwhelmingly supported Biden’s denunciations of Russia and his spearheading of a global coalition to funnel massive support to Ukraine. Biden has framed the conflict as part of his broader view that the world is witnessing a historic confrontation between authoritarianism and democracy.
Jayapal issued a statement Monday evening “clarifying” the position the progressives outlined in the letter, stressing that they still supported Ukraine and Biden’s commitment to ensure Ukraine is represented in any discussions about its future.
“Let me be clear: we are united as Democrats in our unequivocal commitment to supporting Ukraine in their fight for their democracy and freedom in the face of the illegal and outrageous Russian invasion,” Jayapal said. “Diplomacy is an important tool that can save lives — but it is just one tool.”

He had a plan but didn’t want to release until he felt it could help him get re-elected. The very idea that he had a plan but waited to release it shows, yet again, he does not have the character to be president.

Jayapal took responsibility for the letter and apologized. Other Representatives that signed the letter corroborated that it was written in June/ July. The first half of the letter actually praised Biden and I think the intentions of the remaining part were misunderstood. Although the timing could have been better. And you've made it clear that anything you disagree with is dumb and anyone you disagree with is stupid.

And you've made it clear that anything you disagree with is dumb and anyone you disagree with is stupid. Sorry to disappoint you but I wasn’t even thinking about you when I made that comment. It was aimed at that group of lawmakers for an inappropriate letter at the worst possible time. One of my frustrations is I can’t tell these people who’s actions affect me, even indirectly, how I feel. But I get the feeling a lot of Democratic lawmakers let them know it wasn’t a good idea. While we are on the same side we don’t agree on a lot of things. And that’s fine, you are entitled to your opinion just like I’m entitled to mine. And I doubt we are going to change each others opinions. This is why I very rarely comment on your posts and stay off your threads. When I do comment it’s when you are trying to “school” me on one of my opinions you disagree with and whether intended to or not it comes across like I don’t have many brain cells left in the old noggin. So it comes down to you believing I think everyone who disagrees with me is dumb and you thinking the same thing about my opinions you disagree with. So I think it’s in both our interest to ignore each other’s posts.

Wish the nitwit in the Oregon governor race would do the same. I am pretty sure that Oregon is going to have a Republican governor very soon. None of their choices are great, but obviously I cannot believe the majority of people want a Republican governor in Oregon.

Yes John Fetterman recently had a stroke. He has gotten a clean bill of health from his doctor. But the reality is that anyone can just drop dead with no warning and with no previous illness. It’s just poof they’re gone.
But what John Fetterman is, is qualified to do the job based on his past experience in government.
Oz is not qualified to do the job. He has no government experience. What you have is a doctor who was a reality tv guy and stuck needles into puppies hearts.
One of the things trump has taught us is one does need some experience to do the job.
