Hello--I am looking for a very small portable photo printer (2*3 or 3*4 maybe) that would connect to my phone. I had one a few years ago, but my kids broke it, and the photo quality hadn't been good anyway. I realize the photo quality likely wouldn't be as good as my large Epson photo printer, but I would really like something I can throw into my purse when I am on vacation.
Any recs?

I have an older HP Sprocket, but the photos aren’t great.
Of the video reviews I’ve watched on YT, the Canon Ivy seems to have the best photo quality for a small format portable printer.

What about the Canon Selphy? You can get a case for it. Then you can do up to 4x6 and have good quality photos.

I purchased this HP Sprocket Select in July. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SXVJFYN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I guess you could call me an "ex scrapbooker". I no longer scrapbook, but I do make, small mini-journals and glue books that are just for me for fun and creativity. As a card maker, often save pictures from the internet and pinterest and wanted to print out pictures to make a small "inspiration" notebook. I was using my Epson PM400 and a Canon Selphy CP1300. The Epson and Canon print beautiful pictures, but.... they live on my desk in my craft room near my router. The Epson seems to need to be near the router, so I never move it. Plus, I wanted something portable that I could use anywhere in my house. After a lot of research, I chose the HP Sprocket Select. The "Select" uses a ever so slightly larger 2.3x3.4" Z-Ink paper than the original Sprocket. I wanted to print mini collages and thought the larger paper would be nice. The good: The printer is the perfect portable size. The mini print size is exactly what I was wanting. The paper is "sticky backed". Connectivity to my iPhone 13 Pro has been excellent and reliable. No ink cartridges/refills needed The cons: The initial price of the printer is not cheap. The cost of the paper is high compared to other printer paper. Only uses HP Sprocket Select Z-ink paper. The regular HP Sprocket paper is cheaper. BUT - both machines only use their own proprietary HP Sprocket paper. The colors of the Z-Ink photo are NOT as detailed and vivid as the photos from the Epson and Canon. Not even close.(However, you do have the ability to make some adjustments to improve the printing in the HP Sprocket app.) *Research shows this is a common mini printer complaint, even with other brands. The verdict: I would buy the HP Sprocket again in a heartbeat. It's a super cute and fun little "on the go", easy to use little printer. The only thing I *might* change is get the original Sprocket because it is less expensive, as is the paper. I'm think about getting one for my sister for Christmas. She's a long time journaler and she just got her first iPhone this past summer. I think she'd enjoy putting pictures in her journals.
