Good Morning Tribe!
Let’s keep good thoughts for our Queen, while she is busy.
Today I have my ODS helping me with hanging curtains and artwork. I am staying home.
Dinner tonight is spaghetti and meat sauce along with garlic bread. One of his favorites. It is definitely fall here, the leaves have been changing and started falling in the past week.
What’s on your menu? Any plans today?
I hope all of you have a peaceful day!

Hi destined2bmom! Thanks for starting the thread while our dear scrapmaven is away. We ended up eating coney dogs last night. I think I was just the living dead yesterday. I was so tired from not sleeping well and getting up painfully early and yet I was wide awake and my brain was on alert which is what I was trying to accomplish by going off one of my meds. Rest assured my psychiatrist knows. And the thing we were shooting for was lifting some brain fog for me. But then I didn't have the drowsy effect of the medicine to put me to sleep. I slept much better last night and feel great today. I only have 4 days of work this week and then I'm on vacation. The thing with camping is that there is a lot of work leading up to it and after it, but the vacation itself is super laid back. So this whole week I will be busy with prep work. We will have that broccoli cheddar soup tonight and I will make the pretzel sticks like I said I was going to last night.

Good morning, destined2bmom! Thanks for getting things started. Hope all goes well for you today, scrapmaven. I have a super long chore list for today and keep adding things as I go. The foyer is full of donation bags and I can't decide whether to wait until DD is here before I load it all up in the car. High on my list is getting her to clean out more of her stuff. Dinner will be a spinach & feta frittata and I've already roasted cauliflower to make a salad. Not sure if it will be for dinner, too, or for lunches this week.

Good Morning! Good Luck scrapmaven! It's a BEAUTIFUL day here. Probably one of our last warm days. Wishing I wasn't at work. I do get to leave early but it's for my PT appointment. Then I'm going to the grocery store. Enjoy your day at home destined2bmom. Baked yams sound so good cadoodlebug. Might need to add some to my grocery list. Glad you are feeling better today jeremysgirl. We camped a lot growing up. I really didn't appreciate how much time and effort my parents put in to it. Dinner is rechauffe. Don't have as much as I thought I would. We had more people over last night than I was expecting.

I had another frustrating day with my cleaning service today. Seriously, I don’t know how it takes them so long to clean two bathrooms and a kitchen. My sister’s cleaner does her whole house, which is three times bigger than mine, in four hours, and these guys take more than three hours to do mine? I am going to talk to DH about it when he gets home on Friday, and I am really leaning towards finding a different company, or maybe an independent person.
Apart from hanging around waiting for the cleaner to do his thing, I went grocery shopping and for a walk. Not much time for much else.
Dinner tonight is leftovers of the chicken and veggie pie DH made on Saturday. It was so yummy, so I am fine eating it again. After dinner, there will be knitting and Netflix.

Good morning! Still working on unpacking boxes here, though the pile is getting smaller. Down to the book boxes and other stuff from the living & dining room shelves. Trying to purge as I go, but having to be stealth about some of the things. After DH changed his mind on getting rid of a set of dishes from the 70s that we haven't used in 20+ years, I'm not taking any chances! The movers are supposed to come by this afternoon and pick up the flattened boxes and paper. Have tried to give them away, but no takers. Once the empties are gone, that will free up more space.
Dinner tonight will most likely be soup for me. Having some dental work done in a few minutes (mostly replacing old fillings) and not sure how sore my mouth will be.
Update: After waiting for almost 30 minutes, they have rescheduled my dentist appointment for next Tuesday. Apparently there were issues with the patient before me. Annoying to be rescheduled after waiting, but most annoyed that I actually got dressed and put on makeup for nothing! So dinner will now be some of the tenderloin tips that we grilled last night.

Thinking of scrapmaven! Have fun preparing for your camping trip jeremysgirl ... I spent many many years doing that ... don't miss it AT ALL! I'm just waiting for ex to show up so that we can finally go through the boxes and bins in the basement. I'll be donating or throwing out all of my scrapbooking supplies ... Have to purge a bunch of Christmas decor but I am definitely keeping my two foot tall stuffed Costco reindeer. My dd's are coming over for dinner tonight ... we will order in ... we will decide what when they get here

Good Morning It's a chilly one here, it was 29 degrees when I woke up this morning. The snow is inching its way down the mountains, and we have snow in the forecast this week. Dh ran the mower on Saturday and picked up the rest of the leaves, so I guess we are ready for winter. Yesterday my sil and I cleaned out her parent's bathroom drawers and cabinets. My fil has been gone 6 years and all his bathroom stuff was still in there! My mil had so many lipsticks, it was kinda cute! She loved a good colored lip! Our next project will be the closet, I was a little surprised that my sil is ready to get rid of my mil's clothes. We are waiting to do the big stuff after my other sil spends a little time at home (seattle) and comes back up here. Dinner tonight is Kalbi pinwheels on the grill, some type of potatoes, and a nice salad. What do you guys make with pesto? I bought a big container at Costco but haven't used it yet.

Dinner tonight will be egg roll in a bowl....I have designated DH to that task...as he does like to cook dinner now and again. We are putting away the summer lawn furniture today......I guess it really is over....those 70 degree days last week were the end 😢😢

I just cooked some rice and will make fried rice with it tonight. With pork. Because I’m still trying to get rid of pork. And lots of veggies. And the boy will be happy. Wishing scrapmaven well, wherever she is. I don’t do camping, either. If there’s critters, plus no indoor plumbing and no Wi-Fi, I’m out. Actually, any one of those is a deal breaker for me.

What do you guys make with pesto? I bought a big container at Costco but haven't used it yet. I like pesto cold as dressing on pasta salad. I use red peppers and grape tomatoes. Parmesan. And toasted walnuts. Delicious! It's my most requested BBQ dish. I don’t do camping, either. If there’s critters, plus no indoor plumbing and no Wi-Fi, I’m out. Actually, any one of those is a deal breaker for me. We have a camper so I'm not sleeping down on the ground with the critters (a tent would never fly with me). And we do have a water tank and an shower/toilet (but we don't use it, we go to the bathhouse). And there is Wi-Fi at the campground we are going to. Electricity too. There's no way I'd camp without all of that. I like to cook over a fire though.

leannec What is the name of that great salad delivery company?? Inspired Go. Kind of was hoping they were around the United States but as you know they’re not. However I did find one that was called Farmer’s fridge that delivers salads so I might check it out just for the heck of it. They had a lot of choices

I wish our camper was road worthy. I'm very envious, jeremysgirl! We'll have chili tonight, to use up the lingering tomatoes.

I love camping!! sometimes I just sleep out without a tent. sometimes a tent. I love backpacking, though I can't go too far these days.. but it is my magic place.. usually in washington state.
After a lifetime of doing it.. I still will get out the bag and go

After a lifetime of doing it.. I still will get out the bag and go We are complete opposites! I "camped" in a long trailer with air conditioning and all the other comforts of home and still hated it! Too much packing (for kids and adults), cooking, cleaning, repeat, over and over all "vacation" long! No rest for mum! I'm so glad to be done with that nonsense! I'm an "indoor kind of girl!"

We’re having baked chicken thighs, asparagus, salad and noodles for the carbivores.
DD camps in a tent at a state park. I would never! I use the fact that I can’t sleep without electricity as an excuse…as if I need one!!

I never really enjoyed camping growing up and we had a camper so we weren’t roughing it. Just didn’t enjoy the whole campground thing.
A friend and I used to do a girls trip to Key West every year. One year we went out to the Dry Tortugas and spent the night. Tent camping at its finest. There was a total of 10 of us that night and it was magical. Now that is a camping trip I would do again.

I am going to talk to DH about it when he gets home on Friday, and I am really leaning towards finding a different company, or maybe an independent person. Something that should be a lovely treat has been such a disappointing experience for you. I'd lean to finding an independent cleaner. After DH changed his mind on getting rid of a set of dishes from the 70s that we haven't used in 20+ years, I'm not taking any chances! OK, this really did make me LOL. Is there a sentimental connection? What do you guys make with pesto? I bought a big container at Costco but haven't used it yet. I buy it for DS's cheese tortellini and have added pesto to eggs (scrambled or frittata), soups and on grilled sandwiches/panini instead of mayo or butter. It freezes nicely for future use, too. Freeze it in ice cube trays and then move the cubes into a ziplock bag.

Hello everyone ! Hope all is feeling well.
I finally felt up to sitting up get on my laptop. Surgery went well on Tuesday, Thank God. Had therapy on Friday and again today. This after pain is killing me but I'm praying this will take the pain away that I have been going through. I haven't been able to keep much in my stomach but will try to eat a small McDonald pancake for dinner. That stayed down this morning.

OK, this really did make me LOL. Is there a sentimental connection? Not that I'm aware of. He's not really sentimental about much. They were the every day dishes we registered for when we got married, but he hasn't even laid eyes on them in 20+ years! Most annoying is that we had a discussion about them and he was on board with me keeping a few accessories and donating the rest. They are very heavy and neither one of us is interested in using them. I'll just chalk it up to him 'peeing on trees'. 🤷🏼♀️. Not the first thing he's done as we've been moving back into the front of the house.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with the whole family on Saturday. Both our boys were here with their families, my SIL and my mom. It’s so hard to get everyone in the same place at the same time so I was very pleased that everyone was here.
I switched out my summer clothes for winter clothes this weekend so I’m ready for the cooler weather. Although I’m always sooo hot, I probably should have kept my summer gear handy.
We have an appt with the lawyer for MILs estate tomorrow. We are hoping the lawyer will notarize the will so it won’t have to go to probate. We’ve been waiting a month for a lawyer appt and we just want to get things done.
Supper tonight was leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner.
Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian peas.
