Happy Tuesday! MichyM and I are sharing Tuesday duties; I've got this week and next, with MichyM back the last week of the month. Our theme encompasses scrapbooking supplies since a lot of cardmakersare also scrapbookers. The challenge: use scrapbooking embellishments that you don't typically use on cards. For me, it looks like buttons and brads. For you, it could be ribbon and Thickers - whatever it means to you and your creative process! The twist: make a clean and simple (CAS) card. This means no bulky layers and plenty of white space (although the space doesn't need to be literally white). If you are collecting points for the team challenge, the points are: *Create a card based on the challenge: 2 points *Apply the twist to your card: 1 point *PLUS: create the card AND use BOTH of the twists for a bonus of FIVE points! Completion bonus: complete at least one card for ALL the CARDtober challenges for a COMPLETION BONUS of FIFTY points. Examples:

Awesome cards Ryann. What are those dots? ETA: I just read your description that they are brads...😁

Ryann thank you for the scrappy challenge! Your cards are pretty, clean and fresh. Upon reflecting and looking over my supplies I thought that I often use stickers, especially in my pocket pages, but rarely on cards. I guess on cards it feels like cheating or something? The teal under my card is just paper because my scanner has a white background and the card blended right in with it.

I don't scrapbook so I was trying to figure it out what I should use for this challenge. After seeing jjpeapea's adorable card it gave me the idea that I rarely if ever I use stickers on my cards. So thank you for the idea jjpeapea. Here is mine, I need a baby card with a dinosaur on it. So this worked out perfectly and reminds me to start using my stickers. And only took me 5 minutes to make the card. What I love ! CARDtober #11 by Azcrafty, on Flickr

I'm not altogether happy with this one - the brads aren't spaced well and the sentiment stamp didn't stamp cleanly

Ryann, your cards are really cute. I love the button balloons and the happy little clouds. The dotty card is really cool, You have love in the gallery. Thank you for the challenge and for being a hostess for Cardtober. jjpeapea, I laughed at your comment that using stickers on cards seems like cheating. That has been my feeling exactly. I love your card so I took your idea and did the same thing. I love that tiny Hope It’s Sweet stamp. So cute. azcrafty, I see that you used jjpeapea’s inspiration too. I love your little dinosaur and the beautifully stitched background. You have love in the gallery. Linda, I think your sentiment looks great. I love the colorful metal brads. I have never used brads on a card, but those are beautiful. I love the strip across the bottom that can hide the ends of the brads. Very pretty and very clever. scrapnnana, that card is great! I love the burlap strip and the cute little metal tractor. You have chosen the perfect papers for this. grammadee will love, love, love this. A perfect card for farming, harvest and Fall. The 2nd card is for this challenge. Using jjpeapea’s inspiration I decided to dig through my old Jolee’s stickers to find something to use. I found this 2003 Provo Craft sticker sheet and decided to use it. I always need baby cards. I’m not sure that it fits the CAS description, but it is pretty flat and simple. Cardtober #21 and #11
