Oh man, I spent a few hours outside yesterday at an event where I was sitting on a metal folding chair. I was minimally aware of the fact that my chair was on a downward slope and that I was bracing myself to keep from sliding forward on the chair the whole time, but I didn't really consider how that would feel the next day.
Ow. It's just one spot midway up the back of both of my thighs, screaming at me for keeping them tensed for 3 hours straight. It's a sad thing when sitting makes you sore, LOL!

I feel you. I spent the better part of last week on a bus trip, and I have sore muscles in places I didn't know my butt had muscles. All from sitting in a straining position and following the very bendy curves the bus took. It'll pass in a few days, but I am too old for this

I am truly astounded about the aches and pains I get from doing even the smallest tasks! In my younger days I would get bored listening to people talking about their health complaints. Karma. Karma hit me hard!

Well, at least you know why you hurt! Sometimes I wonder what the heck I did?
I've been hauling wagons of corn for the last couple weeks. All I have to do is sit in the tractor and move them from point A to point B.
I turn around to look out the back window when I hitch them up. My seat even swivels when I turn, but you would think I had never used those muscles in my life! lol
My seat is an air ride seat too, and comfy. But lord I can barely walk when I climb out of that machine at night. No heated seat in this rig - that would help! .. oh aging is a slippery slope (just don't sit on that slope all afternoon, right?)

I just wanted to let you know that I am so thankful for farmers like yourself. I grew up on a cash-crop corn farm, with broiler chickens, and your posts give me much nostalgia and reminders of my youth. Keep feeding America (and beyond)!

Karma hit me hard! That's right. Nobody can really empathise until they've felt it themselves. With anything actually, but definitely aches and pains. Time to stop mentioning them, I think. The people who care can't help, and it just gets them down when they ask and there isn't any improvement. The people who can't empathise will never understand - until they're in the same boat.

Well, at least you know why you hurt! Sometimes I wonder what the heck I did? Right? I've woken up several times with a sore toe. Not a longest toe. Not an edge toe. Nope. A toe right there in the middle of the pack. What in the world could happen to that toe and not any of the others while I was peacefully asleep? And it will remind me all day that it's just not happy. What? Why? Babies are easier to understand.

And it will remind me all day that it's just not happy. What? Why? Every once in a blue moon one of my toes will cramp up and basically attach itself to the neighbor and oh my gosh, how that hurts! It's crazy! I have to literally separate them myself--like with my hand, there's no getting that toe to move back to where it should be when that happens. Luckily years can go by in between instances, but it's just another weird thing about being human.

ah, I relate to this thread!
Eldest DD had her second baby over the weekend. I stayed at her house and watched my 18 month old grandson while she was delivering..and boy oh boy, this kid is Calvin from the comic strip come to life if ever I saw it. He leaps off of couches and never walks, he RUNS.
It took me two days to recover, lol.

Hope mother & baby are happy & healthy.

They all suck! I feel like I’m 90 years old every time I get off an airplane.

When my oldest plays football away and we have to sit on metal bleachers for 3-4 hours the next day my tail bone is as sore as if I rode my spin bike!

Swimming was nice, though, because those bleachers were wood and the ones at the very top allowed you to lean against a wall. I'd fight people for a spot on that top bleacher, let me tell you!
