Besides me? I just did the card event a few weeks ago and am all rested up for the Holiday event!
Boxes start shipping next week!

Me! I also participated in the recent cardmaking event. First SCT cardmaking event for me, and wow... card makers ARE SERIOUS. The papercrafting events are pretty low key and relaxing. Ha! Not the cardmaking event. Although I loved every minute of it, I was just not mentally prepared for the number of projects and classes. So much crafty fun!

Glad to see someone else here is doing this! I did it last year and it’s much slower than the card event. There’s a peek of Virginia Nebels class up on Facebook!

Me! I'm also signed up for the scrapbooking event. Really enjoyed the last 2 I've attended.

I'll be there! I've done 4 of the card making events and last year's holiday event. I'm doing a lot less scrapping and more card making these days, but I love the holiday event. It's so laid-back, and such a great way to get in the mood for the season. I enjoy getting the holiday materials, even if I use them differently from the classes. However, I am really looking forward to Layle's traveler's notebook class. When I do scrapbook these days, I do it in smaller formats.

Have fun, Ladies! I opted out this year. I flipped a coin. New winter tires won. But I put SCT gift cards on my wish list, so maybe next year...

Has anyone else gotten a shipping notice, but the package hasn't shipped yet? I got a notice last Tuesday but the tracking still says only that the label has been created. I know it takes time to get all the boxes sent out, but this is taking longer than usual and I'm getting antsy!
And - if you're going to share contents, could you please put spoiler in the post so those of us who haven't gotten ours yet can still be surprised? It would be appreciated! I'd hate to have to quit reading this thread altogether until my box gets here.

lindamh, you should get it soon! Mine came just now! Catherine has asked us to wait to share the contents until after the "unboxing" event next Wednesday. I am going to do that, and I'm sure everyone else here will do the same. Has anyone else received their box?

MDscrapaholic, Thanks for waiting for the unboxing. I appreciate it. I'm like a kid at Christmas when it comes to these boxes! I'm just hoping my box gets here by then. I've never had a problem before, but then I've never sat in "Label Created" mode for this long before!

Unless things have changed, they ship the boxes closest to them last, and addressed furtherest away first. So if you leave near(ish) to where they ship from, that could be why you're still in the "label created" stage.

I've never had a problem before, but then I've never sat in "Label Created" mode for this long before! My shipping notification was from Freightcom and it was a UPS tracking number. If you open a UPS account, you may be able to see when it will be delivered. It's well worth the wait! (#teampeek)

Well, I'm down in North Carolina, and I've seen Canadians who have their boxes already. And I do have the UPS tracking number and UPS is saying only "Label Created".
On the other hand, I now have the list of classes for the spring card making event to obsess over, so that may hold me over for a few more days!

Most of the cards I send are around the holidays. I don't have a lot of use for cards that just say hello, thinking of you, across the miles. Hoping your box comes soon!

I'm two years into retirement now after 40 years teaching at the elementary school level. I did a lot of scrapbooking then, but over the past 2 years I've almost completely stopped scrapbooking and have become addicted to card making. So, I make cards for fun and then I take them to the local elementary school as "thank you's" for the staff and teachers. Keeps me happy and doing something constructive.

I'm close to retiring and am thinking this might be something I'd like to do when I have the time. Heaven knows I have enough PAPER... Did your box arrive yet?

It's coming on Friday!!! Apparently, there was a problem with the last truck going out and it delayed the last batch of boxes. I got a few other things straightened out today and I'm getting back in the swing of things. I'll be raring to go by the time the box gets here!
Edited to add - just a word about retirement. Don't be surprised when you have a lot less time in retirement than you think you'll have. Somehow the things you still have left to do grow to fill the time that working took up. There are way too many days when I can't find the time to craft at all!

It's on its way! Turned up in Ohio early this morning, headed to Greensboro next and it hit Asheville about an hour ago. That's only 45 minutes away from me, so I see no reason why it shouldn't be here tomorrow. Ummm . . . maybe I spent too much time on the computer today???

MDscrapaholic - Thanks for checking in! It arrived yesterday safe and sound. Now it's annoying the heck out of my husband because after all the angst this week, I can't decide if I'm going to open it or not, so it's just sitting on my table!!

I don't remember seeing anything posted yet. For the paper crafting event, there was a link in an email. Looking forward to the unboxing tonight!

Been so busy admiring my box, I haven't been on the board! Seriously, there is a list of contents in the guides, along with several other things including a template and directions for Mari Clarke's project. This stuff is also available on the SCT website. The password is also in one of the documents in the guides section.
