So it's Rishi.....musical chairs in the cabinet again.
I hope things now settle as this is getting daft now.

At least Mogg has gone. Surprised at Rishi’s speech. He minced no words over Liz Truss. wellway, I don't know if you heard the commentary from this morning regarding the "jenga lectern"? The reporter was remarking that that lectern had been chosen by Liz Truss and we were returning to the normal column type.

I actually liked Rishi’s speech - he made a real effort to be everything Truss wasn’t! Now we just need to see if he can/will deliver I guess. Whatever - we’re in for a brutal immediate future aren’t we 🫤

It's kind of hard to believe he's a real person. And I'm a big aghast that there are so many young Moggs that will someday be released into the world.

BBC have a video about all the lecterns, seems each of the Tory leaders have had a new one going back Cameron. Why??? At least, the Tory party pay for them. www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-63385844Another one delighted to, hopefully, see the back of Jacob. Should imagine that going forward no one else will be using the seats of the Commons like their own sofa. So many things I disliked about him.

I think he was the only one who turned up at the Queens funeral in a top hat.

I wonder if Matt Hancock will get a cabinet job. He's been very quiet since resigning. My eldest refers to JRM as the MP for 1879. I can't bring myself to bother to type his full name.

He’s about right! Such an odd man 😟 I agree - he seemed to be very much saying “I get it” and at least he’s studied economics and politics…Time will tell indeed. Yes not heard anything of Matt H have we - I wonder if he’s still with the woman he had the affair with.

She positively simpered over Boris and was all sycophantic smarming when he made his farewell speech, cozy-ing up to Carrie and their son. She’s so irritating!!

I see Rishi has phoned the First Ministers of Scotland and Wales, something Liz Truss failed to do. How she thought ignoring the leaders of component parts of the union and a population of over eight million was beyond me. So glad to see the back of her.

That is good to hear of Rishi making contact. Truss’s lack of courtesy was astounding. One of the reporters yesterday said she had openly stated she wasn’t going to contact the First Ministers.

She was astonishingly brazen yesterday I thought...an odd character overall, and it's still hard to believe she actually was PM.

I actually think she is jealous of Nicola Sturgeon. Whether or not one agrees with her policies, it’s impossible to deny her popularity. But it’s the fact Truss thought it was okay to ignore a democratically elected leader who stands for her country. By doing so, she made it very clear that the people of Scotland did not matter to her either. The same can be said about Mark Drakeford and Wales of course. But I think what really drove her crazy was the whole thing about how Sturgeon has been in Vogue magazine - twice! - and Truss desperately wanted to be in Vogue too! 😂

As you say, Nicola Sturgeon has been democratically elected, she put her ideas to the Scottish public and they voted her in. Truss couldn't say the same. Not even her own party were not on board with her ideas. All the more crazy when you consider the full name of the Tory party. Such a loss to the diplomatic service.

Sturgeon has talked about the last time she met Truss. It was at COP26 last year and they were just about to go in to a major session, with all of the big hitters. Truss approached Sturgeon demanding to know how it was that she got to appear in Vogue. Sturgeon said she was really taken aback at how that was Truss's concern rather than the huge issues they were about to discuss, and suggested it wasn’t really the best time to talk about it. 🤦🏼♀️

Good grief - such mature thinking by a ‘leader’ 🙄 As you say, she’s more shallow than we thought and that’s saying something but she clearly doesn’t care two hoots about what people think of her. Now sometimes that’s a good thing but when it becomes “won’t listen to any advice, ever,” then less so 🫤
Makes more sense of the attention seeker comment too 😁
