Finally, lots of goodies at Tuesday Morning. Ephemera, paper pads, punches, albums. I picked up some Vicki Boutin ephemera, Kaisercraft paper and a few punches.

I wondered if TM would finally realize that they get in a lot more customers when they have crafts in their store. The local manager of one of my stores said when they dropped crafts, their sales dropped considerably.

Both of my stores started adding crafts about a month ago and I think it will take a while for people to learn this.

I received an email from TM saying “crafters rejoice” and showed a fully stocked craft isle 😍

Now I gotta check out my TM! I haven't been stopping there nearly as much since they stopped stocking a bunch of craft stuff. Thanks for the heads up!

Mine still doesn’t have much at all. Not to highjack, but my Dollar Tree has a lot of new scrapbook stuff. A lot and it’s pretty nice, especially at the $1.25 price point.

I wondered if TM would finally realize that they get in a lot more customers when they have crafts in their store. The local manager of one of my stores said when they dropped crafts, their sales dropped considerably. I don't know how much was a choice and how much was a supply issue. It started before Covid. The manager here said that all of the little things that crafts sells cost more money because they have to sticker them (many in store and not at the warehouse) and then having the staff hang them. I think they just didn't make the money on the $3-$4 dollar items. I am sure that the supply issue was a factor though. The manger talked to corporate repeatedly since a majority of his sales were from craft and he dropped on the sale list and the store was not doing as well. He was not a happy camper about the whole thing. ETA: The manger at one of our stores would just leave three full baskets in the craft aisle to pick through. That way you knew where the new stuff was and he said that his customers would always start stocking the shelves with those items as they sorted through them. He left that aisle last and he said there were very few things to put away after two days.

I’m not too hopeful, yet. Mine is still a crafting desert. Mostly bedding and other soft goods.
The company (e-commerce specialist REV) that acquired them after they came out of bankruptcy, also bought numerous brands out of bankruptcy, including Pier 1 and Stein Mart, both of those stores closed in my city. I did read that this will get TM access to REV’s distribution system, as well as rights to sell products from the Pier 1 brand, which REV acquired out of bankruptcy in 2020.
REV will give TM digital and e-commerce capabilities to build out an online presence. I rarely go to stores to shop, so I will happily purchase from them online.
I also read that as of mid-August, S&P Global Market Intelligence had Tuesday Morning at the top of its list of most vulnerable retail companies.

people keep saying that the few remaining TMs around me suck. they were heavy on the WRMK and not even the stuff i was interested in. barely any SBing stuff. i hate that my TMs suck and are not worth the regular trip.

There are a lot of good deals on higher end brands there. My store has gotten a clean up as of late - making it look more like TJ Maxx - and things aren't just thrown any and everywhere. I told DH the other day that I can foresee me buying lots of Christmas gifts for my nieces there as they've been carrying Barefoot Dreams, Kate Spade, and brands like that.

They have 3 Recollections paper pads and a lot of Iris cases, and maybe four sets of Thickers. I even walked around the store in case the good stuff was somewhere else…

I stopped at TM yesterday after a visit to my chiropractor and, yep, the craft shelves are packed full. That said, there was nothing there that called to me (I have TONS of stuff), but I was happy to see the extra product. They had plenty of ephemera packs, some paper pads (though not nearly as many as they used to carry), and a variety of WRM tools, dies, and storage products. In fact, I thought they had oodles more painting/"artsy" products than paper products. I don't know if they will continue to stock more craft items or if this is just seasonal. I'm anxious to see what those shelves will look like after the holidays.

I just had an experience at Tuesday Morning that made my week! I’ve been eyeing the DCWV Warm and Cozy 12x12 paper pad for weeks now but just couldn’t justify paying full price plus shipping. Yesterday I decided to bite the bullet and order it along with another 12x12 paper pad from an online shop that wasn’t charging a huge amount for shipping. However, I never buy 12x12 paper pads online and have gotten used to getting them on sale for much cheaper at places like J and TM. I was experiencing a case of buyers remorse and this morning, I cancelled my order. Today, I went to the Tuesday Morning near me with the best craft selection which I’ve been doing about once a week since they started getting in craft items again. They had lots of new product in and when I looked at the paper pads, there was Warm and Cozy, for $7.99!!! I was ecstatic! I know fellow peas will understand that feeling! The TMs near me have had Maggie Holmes, Paige Evans, Vicki Boutin, and even some old Shimelle products. Lots of dies and punches too.

I ran into TM this morning while waiting between appointments. My store had a crap ton of Hero Arts stamps and dies, Carta Bella and Echo Park frames + tags & emphenera.
I bought:
Carta Bella Happy Christmas Ephemera 2.99 Echo Park My Favorite Christmas Frames & Tags 2.99 Hero Arts Infinity Slimline Dies 14.99 - but rang up 7.99 Hero Arts Thank You Message Cover Plate 9.99 Hero Arts Infinity Dies Oval Peek A Boo Doors 6.99 Hero Arts Galaxy Peek a Book 6x8 stamps 12.99
Didn't buy, but they have several more Carta Bella / Echo Park Christmas, Fall, Outdoor, Halloween themed diets and embellishments.

I have wandered in from time to time, but the last time I was there (awhile ago), they had little to nothing of interest. It will be nicer if that has changed. However, do I need anything? Not really. I have been happily shopping from my stash throughout the last couple of years. If anything, that has made me feel like I spent far too much money at TM in the past. Will I be taking a peek to see how things are now? Probably. Will I buy anything? I guess it depends on how tempting the offerings are…..

I've been several times in the last few weeks and each time picked up a bunch of stuff and then went through it item by item and put most of it back. They had a bunch of Christmas packs (maybe Carta Bella) and I just oooh'd and aaaah'd over them and walked away.
